Abstract: Embodiments of the instant invention are directed to various methods and an apparatus for building a three-dimensional object represented by object data and support data using thermal stereolithography. Some preferred embodiments of the building techniques include multiple building materials, wherein, in some preferred embodiments, a different building material is used to build the object and the support. Embodiments of the methods for building three-dimensional objects include manipulation of the data, which is represented by a plurality of start/stop transitions to facilitate the computation of Boolean operations. In preferred embodiments, the object is built by selective disposition of the building materials in accordance with the object and support data.

Abstract: Described herein is a device for inducing a cough function in a mammalian subject through electromagnetic induction. Also described herein is a method of treatment which provides a procedure which is non-invasive to individuals to stimulate cough functions in individuals including those individuals such as quadraplegic patients and in patients suffering from multiple sclerosis.

Abstract: The present invention deals with compositions utilized to demulsify wash liquors, tramp oils or coolants. The compositions of the present invention are useful per se as cleaning compositions. The ability to rapidly demulsify from a waste liquor solution allows rapid recovery of fats, organic components, paint residues, greases and oils and rapid passage of the effluent to a sewage treatment facility.

Abstract: The sequence of the T.sub.L -DNA of Ri plasmids found in Agrobacterium rhizogenes strains HRI and A4 is disclosed. Sixteen open reading frames bounded by eukaryotic promoters, ribosome binding sites, and polyadenylation sites were found, five of which were observed to be transcripted in a developmentally and phenotypically regulated manner. The use of promoters and polyadenylation sites from pRi T.sub.L -DNA to control expression of heterologous foreign structural genes is taught, using as examples the structural genes for Phaseolus vulgaris storage protein (phaseolin), P. vulgaris lectin, a sweet protein (thaumatin), and Bacillus thuringiensis crystal protein. Vectors useful for manipulation of sequences of the structural genes and T-DNA are also provided.
