  • Patent number: 7377227
Abstract: An anchor bra provides an easily removable and replaceable cover over a protruding boat anchor, thereby protecting other boats and people from damage by an exposed anchor. The anchor bra is preferably formed of a buoyant and pliable marine grade plastic that covers a boat's anchor when it is raised. The anchor bra is secured in place by adjustable straps that are fastened to the boat's gunwale or railing. The anchor bra is made in various sizes to accommodate various anchor shapes and sizes.

  • Patent number: 7083633
Abstract: An improved arterial catheter device for capturing emboli within the aorta and other arteries is described. The system typically includes an elongated catheter member bearing a filtration apparatus disposed at its the distal region, comprising a filter membrane and a mechanism for deploying and collapsing the filter. For reliable deployment, the deployment mechanism comprises at least one pair of struts, one being a compression strut and the other a tension strut. In use, the catheter is positioned so that the filter membrane is down stream from the possible embolic source and upstream from any vital organs of concern. When deployed the filter membrane will capture emboli from the blood stream, and upon filter removal will extract the emboli from the patient.

  • Patent number: 7047980
Abstract: A system includes an implantable polymer for increasing the dimensions of layers of tissue. In one embodiment, the implantable polymer is delivered transorally using a scope and injection needle. The system allows for visualization and injection of polymer into the lower esophageal sphincter. Methods of treating gastroesophageal reflux disease include insertion of the distal portion of the injection needle into the esophageal tissue and injection of a polymer liquid to enlarge tissue dimensions. The polymer can be injected at several sites to distribute localized pressures and attain better distribution of the tissue bulking effect.

  • Patent number: 6254098
Abstract: A layout which is practically useful for playing tic-tac-toe (TTT) in four dimensions is disclosed. The layout consists of an array of tiles, each tile containing a 5×5 array of substantially square cells, where the tiles are arrayed in a 5×5 pattern. For ease of visual interpretation, the tiles are preferably separated by approximately the width of a cell. The layout is implemented physically or as an electronic program coupled to a display. The rules are analogous to classical TTT; two variants are described.
