Abstract: In the method of producing color slides from black and white originals, a light box, a glass plate and a camera are used. Also utilized is a positive and negative of a black and white original. In the first step, a film frame in the camera is exposed to the positive which is between the camera and the light box. Any desired background texture between the positive and the light box and a color filter on the camera lens may be used. In succeeding steps, the negative is used, mounted between the camera and the light box, and various portions of the negative are blacked out and different colored filters used while continuing to expose the film frame in the camera to various portions of the negative.
Abstract: A vapor shield supporting ring is attached to the envelope of a vacuum device. The supporting ring is embedded in the inner wall of the envelope and extends into the interior of such envelope. A welding flange is mounted on the interior portion of the ring. The ring does not extend to the exterior wall of the envelope. To embed the ring in the envelope, the ring is suspended by a holding means such as a magnet, which is placed into the desired position within a centrifugal mold. The molten glass is poured into the mold and the mold is spun, thereby flowing the glass along the walls and surrounding the outer portion of the supporting ring. When the glass solidifies, the supporting ring is firmly embedded in the wall of the envelope.
Abstract: A metal welding gasket secured between a cover and a container to prevent expulsion of weld material into the interior of the device being welded.

Abstract: A core steel stacking machine for stacking cut core lamination members with a uniform stagger or offset. The cut core laminations are transferred one at a time from a pack of cut laminations and placed on a transfer table which is indexed after each lamination to provide a uniform stagger or offset between the ends of adjacent core laminations.
