Abstract: The perfume compositions of this invention include one or more of 3-methylnonan-3-ol, 3-methyl-1-nonen-3-ol, 3-methylnonan-1-ol, 3-methyl-2-nonen-1-ol and the monocarboxylic acid esters of these alcohols. The perfume compositions also contain a perfume component, the odoriferous properties of which are enhanced and modified by said alcohols or esters of the alcohols without chemical reaction.
Abstract: The flavor compositions of this invention include certain dialkyl-.alpha.,.beta. -diacyl succinates which significantly enhance the flavor component or components of flavor compositions. For example, butterscotch flavors are materially improved in smoothness and certain fruit flavors are given greater richness and ripeness.

Abstract: 3-Ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde 2,2-dimethyl-propanediol acetal has a unique flavor and aroma which markedly enhance the flavor and aroma of tobacco products and comestibles. Unlike ethyl vanillin from which it is derived, the acetal has a less pronounced vanilla or ethyl vanillin odor and taste and a more intense chocolate by-note.

Abstract: The perfume compositions of this invention contain hexyloxyacetonitrile which contributes unique olfactory properties reminiscent of irone with a flowery, herbaceous by-note. Hexyloxyacetonitrile can be incorporated readily in a wide variety of perfume compositions to enhance, diffuse and prolong the odor characteristics of such compositions.

Abstract: Apple juice compositions are utilized to produce a stable, uncoagulated milk-apple juice drink, comprising milk, apple juice, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid such as citric acid or lactic acid, with or without a coloring agent, fruit essence, seasonings and/or water.
Abstract: The azimido benzamide of this invention and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts have an unusually and unexpectedly high therapeutic index and low toxicity in the treatment of emesis in mammals. Pharmacological testing demonstrated the superior efficacy of the compound of this invention over known, similar compounds.

Abstract: Emesis in mammals is prevented by administration of 3-alkoxy-thianaphthene-2-carboxamides in a daily dosage ranging from 50 to 500 .mu.g/kg as determined by a physician or veterinarian. When administered to dogs in a daily dosage of 250 .mu.g/kg, 100% protection is obtained against vomiting normally induced by subcutaneous administration of apomorphine.
