Abstract: In the type-wheel resetting mechanism for the downsized printer: a resetting cam portion (13) is provided in a drive gear (12) to save the number of components and to eliminate assembly and adjusting operations of the cam portion (13) and the drive gear (12); detected portions (25, 25a) for type selection and motor stop operations are provided separately from the drive gear (12); and, a sensor (26) for detecting the detected portions (25, 25a) is provided in the vicinity of the drive gear (12) to save the number of components, which simplifies the construction of the type-wheel resetting mechanism and improves the type-wheel resetting mechanism in reliability.

Abstract: Here is disclosed air-permeable and liquid-impermeable backsheet for use in body fluid absorbent articles.Polyolefin plastic sheet containing inorganic filler particles is stretched and then thermo-embossed to obtain the backsheet 1. At least one surface of this backsheet 1 is composed of a rough surface zone 5 and a smooth surface zone 6 so that these two kinds of zones define together a desired surface pattern over the backsheet. The rough surface zone 5 has fine pores 7 for air-permeability and the smooth surface zone 6 facilitates an absorbent core of the body fluid absorbent article to be seen through this smooth surface zone 6.

Abstract: A composition for use in surgical operations to prevent adhesions between tissue surfaces, comprising an aqueous solution containing dextran in an amount of 7 to 20% and hyaluronic acid in an amount of 0.5 to 6%, the dextran having a weight average molecular weight within the range of 30,000 to 75,000 and the hyaluronic acid having a weight average molecular weight within the range 500,000 to 6,000,000.

Abstract: A proximity controlled sanitary fitting is provided with a manually operated electric selector switch (6) which is formed the same way as a handle of a conventional manually operated sanitary fitting. The selector switch (6) can be see in various operating positions associated to different operating modes of the sanitary fitting. Among these operating modes there are in particular the following ones: normal detection of a user; deactivation of the non-tactile detection; and opening the fitting regardless of the electronic detection. Thus the electric selector switch can be optically integrated into the design of the sanitary fleeing in a way readily accepted by the public.

The traverse arrangement support these rubber threads in parallel to one another and forcibly guide them in sine curves with respect to the continuous web 7 so that the portions 4A.sub.1, 4B.sub.1 of the elastic members 4A, 4B to be bonded to the continuous web are bonded thereto. Then, the non-bonded portions 4A2, 4B2 of the elastic members are cut together with the web 7 along boundaries of the individual articles and thereupon contract under their own stretch stresses.
