Abstract: A system and a device for enabling a plurality of hardware memory components to be installed on a computational device, in which the hardware components are isolated from each other and/or from the remainder of the computational device. Such “insulation” can optionally be used in order to provide security for the information stored on the hardware memory component. For example, one such component could optionally have access blocked when the computational device is connected to a network such as the Internet, in order to prevent an external, unauthorized user from gaining access to the information stored on such a hardware memory component. One possible application of the present invention is for security of operation of a computational device.
