Abstract: Method for adding a fatty acid to an oil-in-water type emulsion during use without detrimentally affecting the properties of the emulsion, comprising providing a solution of (A) the fatty acid and (B) a liquid in which the fatty acid is readily soluble, selected from the group consisting of at least one polyoxyalkylene glycerol, at least one monoalkyl ether of a polyoxyalkylene glycol where the alkyl group has at least four carbon atoms and the alkylene group has at least two repeating units, and diethylene glycol di-t-butyl ether, and adding said solution to the emulsion.
