Abstract: A motorcycle audio system is provided with circuitry to toggle the helmet mounted microphone of both the driver and the passenger on and off by use of the PTT (push to talk) switches commonly provided for use with a CB radio. Activation of a PTT immediately causes both microphones “on” regardless of their prior state. If the PTT is released during a predetermined short period, the microphones are turned off only if they were on prior to activation of the PTT and remain on only if they were off prior to activation. If the PTT is released after the predetermined period, the microphones remain on only if they were on prior to activation.
Abstract: A birdhouse entrance is provided with an entrance opening having two posts projecting vertically from the bottom edge of the opening toward the top edge. The two posts are spaced apart such that a bird of selected size cannot pass between them without opening its wings. Sufficient clearance for the wings is provided between the outer edges of the posts and the side edges of the entrance opening.
Abstract: A pull out step which can be extended directly to the rear of a pickup truck makes it possible to step from the ground to the tread of the step and then to the tailgate of the truck. A bracket attached to a trailer hitch on the truck slidably supports a beam which supports the tread and allows the beam to be locked in either the extended or retracted positions. For use with trucks having an unusually high chassis, the beam may include a gooseneck to lower the elevation of the tread to approximately one half the elevation of the tailgate. The bracket may also be attached directly to the body of the truck.

Abstract: A method and system for generating command signals for a computer monitor or other equipment. The system includes at least one pressure responsive potentiometer and a device operatively connected with such potentiometer for generating a command signal indicating at least one of the direction, intensity and duration of pressure applied to such potentiometer. The method remotely controls a function of a computer monitor or other equipment in response to signals obtained from pressure sensitive potentiometers manipulated by a user.
