Abstract: A method, comprising the steps of (a) representing users within a virtual environment, the virtual environment residing on one or more computers, comprising the steps of (b) collecting data pertaining to one or more of the users' activities not associated with the virtual environment relating to each of the users' performance on business-related tasks, (c) awarding incentives including points, badges, levels, prizes, etc. to a plurality of users in the virtual environment based on the collected data pertaining to the users, (d) providing information regarding a first user's incentives to at least a second user involved in activities related to the business-related tasks performed by the first user, and (e) updating the collected data in the virtual environment as the data pertaining to the performance of users changes.

Abstract: A system for delivering advanced natural language interaction applications, comprising a dialog interface module, a natural language interaction engine, a solution data repository component operating comprising at least one domain model, at least one language model, and a plurality of flow elements and rules for managing interactions with users, and an interface software module. Upon receipt of a request from a user via a network, the dialog interface module preprocesses the request and transmits it to the natural language interaction engine. The natural language interaction engine interprets the request using a plurality of language recognition rules stored in the solution data repository, and based at least determined semantic meaning or user intent, the natural language interaction engine forms an appropriate response and delivers the response to the user via the dialog module, or takes an appropriate action based on the request.

Abstract: A system for zero-footprint screen capture, comprising a communication server, a screen capture server, a web server, and a media upload server, wherein the web server, on receiving a request for a specific web page from a client application whose screen is to be captured, uploads a persistent screen capture application to the client. Upon receiving a connection request from the screen capture application uploaded to the client, the screen capture server establishes a persistent connection to the uploaded screen capture application and, on receiving a notification from the communication server pertaining to an interaction involving a user of the client application, sends instructions via the persistent connection to the screen capture application. The media upload server receives one or more data packets containing screen capture graphics data.

Abstract: An e-commerce system, comprising an endorsement engine, a first interface software coupled to the endorsement engine and adapted to interact with one or more content sources connected over a network and adapted to enable subscriptions from users using a protocol, and a second interface software coupled to the endorsement engine and adapted to interact with one or more merchants to receive information about products, is disclosed. In an embodiment, the first interface software enables an endorsing user to browse the content sources and select a content item, to enter code associated with the selected content element, to view product information provided by merchants, to select a product for endorsement, and to enter code associated with the selected product. Upon retrieval of content by a viewing user who previously subscribed to the content source using the protocol, at least one of the content-specific code and the product-specific code is also provided to the viewing user via the protocol.

Abstract: A tube comprises a series of guides with each successive guide smaller than a next prior guide forms an effective funnel with a smaller end extending toward into a larger end of a next adjacent guide. The larger end of the next adjacent guide extends past the smaller end of that prior guide and loops back to taper into smooth connection to the outside of the smaller end of that prior guide therein creating a cavity in the guide. Gas passing rapidly past the cavities causes a Bernoulli effect that reduces pressure within the cavities. Because the mouth of the guides is large, a vortex is induced from a shearing interface between gases within the cavity and the main flow of gas moving down the tube. A less energetic layer of gas is created that buffers tube guides from main gas flow through the tube center.

Abstract: An integrated messaging system for performing various types of messaging across different types of networks, including integrated user interfaces and administrator interfaces. Embodiments include a communication server that couples among networks of different types, and an interface module that couples to the communication server. The interface module may be hosted on a messaging server of a network. The interface module pulls various user information from the messaging server, including information relevant to at least the network that includes the messaging server. A cache couples to the communication server and to the interface module to hold information from the communication server and/or the user information pulled from messaging server. The interface module directs a message from the messaging server and/or the cache to at least one device on the networks using the user information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a unique interactive diagnostic system and method driven by expert systems. In particular, a system and method for troubleshooting of networked electronic devices, driven by an inference engine which controls both the user interaction and the operation of and collection of data from diagnostic tools, are disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, the invention includes a knowledge base 200, an inference engine 201, a communications processor 210 for handling requests to and from the inference engine and the other components (except the knowledge base), an interaction management processor 220 for handling interactions with a plurality of end users 230 over a communications network 240, and a plurality of peripheral control units 250 and their associated peripheral units 250, which collectively can gather status information and perform diagnostic tests on the said networked electronic devices.
