Abstract: An automated method for filling orders using an automated ordering system having a product conveyor, a computer controller, and a plurality of dispensers for dispensing products arrayed in a matrix in rows and columns, wherein the method of filling orders comprises the steps of: coupling each dispenser in a row to a first common control element in the controller; coupling each dispenser in a column to a second common control element in the controller, where the column of dispensers shares a common dispenser with the row of dispensers; and actuating the first and the second control elements simultaneously to dispense a product from the common dispenser onto the conveyor.
Abstract: A package and bundle singulator having a cone shaped housing with an input receiving opening and an outlet discharge opening. A helix or spiral is formed on an inner surface of the housing to engage and separate packages and bundles entering the input receiving opening. A support frame rotatably supports and maintains the housing in an orientation where the input receiving opening is at a higher level than the output discharge opening. The housing is rotated by a drive assembly engaging the housing.
Abstract: An extruded composite material comprising a discontinuous phase of cellulosic fiber encapsulated in and bonded to a continuous phase of a polymeric component preferably comprising a major portion of recycled polyethylene.

Abstract: An improved toasting apparatus is disclosed including a variable speed conveyor belt for conveying products through the toaster; a bottom heating element positioned below the conveyor belt, the bottom heating element including variable control for controlling the amount of heat provided by the bottom heating element; a drying zone including a first plurality of upper heating elements positioned above the conveyor; a toasting zone including a second plurality of upper heating elements; and wherein the bottom heating element and the first and second plurality of upper heating elements are controlled individually and independently.
Abstract: An additive system and method of use that significantly extend the service life of petroleum based hydraulic fluids, improve antiwear properties, improve demulsibility, condition and swell seals to prevent leaking, increase oxidation life, improve thermal stability, improve corrosion resistance, improve antifoam characteristics, reduce the acid number of used hydraulic oils, and exhibit improved shelf stability and improved low temperature performance when compared to additive systems previously known, the additive system containing as essential elements a stabilized zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, a substituted sulfolane, an alkyl phenol and an effective amount of a solvent alcohol component selected from C.sub.9 -C.sub.11 or C.sub.12 -C.sub.13 alcohols, or other suitable alcohol blends, with or without other suitable adjunctive solvents such as aromatics or aromatic/ketone blends.

Abstract: A system and method for selectively refueling a plurality of vehicle storage tanks with compressed natural gas (CNG) are provided that utilize a compressor system operable at suction pressures ranging from about 330 to about 3600 psig and discharge pressures ranging from about 330 to about 4500 psig in combination with means for temporarily storing CNG at an intermediate storage pressure of from about 330 to about 4500 psig, preferably from about 1700 to about 2700 psig, means for selectively filling vehicle storage tanks with CNG from an inlet source, from the compressor discharge and from the intermediate storage tanks, and means for selectively supplying CNG to the compressor inlet at either the available line pressure or the intermediate storage pressure.
Abstract: A system and method for dispensing pressurized gas, especially CNG, in which the temperature inside the receiving tank is preferably monitored and is used by a computer to adjust the fill pressure to compensate for the temperature and pressure rise attributable to adiabatic compression of the gas inside the receiving tank. The system also utilizes the temperature and pressure of the receiving tank to calculate the volume of gas dispensed.
Abstract: A base block for use in a system of onsite construction of a tower, comprising a floor, having predetermined dimensions defining a periphery. A perimeter wall is sealingly attached, extending upwardly a predetermined distance around the periphery of the floor so that an enclosed ballast reservoir is formed. Tower connectors are rigidly affixed to the base blocks at predetermined positions for mating removable engagement with the tower.
Abstract: A flexible hose comprising a composite polymeric core with a degradation-resistant liner and a thermoplastic elastomeric liner coating, the core preferably being surrounded by a protective sheath. The degradation-resistant liner is optionally a polyolefin or fluorine-containing polyolefin and can have a convoluted inside surface. The composite core can optionally include a vapor barrier and leak indicator, and a tracer can be provided to indicate twisting of the sheath.
