Abstract: An innerspring mattress having an edge support insert that overlaps the upper and lower border wires of the mattress. The edge support insert has a C-shaped cross-section or the cross-section may gradually thicken from interior corners of the “C” toward the center forming a putative E-shaped cross-section. The edge support may be a continuous unit that is installed around the entire perimeter of the innerspring mattress assembly. The simple cross-section allows efficient extrusion manufacturing and is efficiently installed around the innerspring mattress coil matrix.

Abstract: A plunge base router for use in an upright and an inverted position is disclosed. The router includes a depth adjustment mechanism, a depth stop mechanism, a post lock mechanism, and a return spring defeat mechanism. The depth adjustment mechanism includes a course adjustment mechanism and a fine adjustment mechanism to set the cutting distance of a bit. The course and fine adjustment mechanisms are usable in both the upright and inverted positions and the fine adjustment mechanism is operable without being reset throughout the full range of motion of the plunge router. The depth stop includes a mechanism for locking the end of a rod on the housing to the base in order to set the relative position in between the housing and the base. The depth stop also includes a plurality of steps for engaging the rod and permitting incremental passes of cutting at different depths with the router.

Abstract: A method and circuit are shown for controlling an in-rush current to a voltage regulator circuit. A sense transistor is coupled in parallel with a pass transistor of the voltage regulator circuit and used to monitor the current through the pass transistor. A sense current through the sense transistor is converted to a voltage signal and input to an amplifier along with a ramping voltage signal generated in response to a circuit activation signal. An output of the amplifier drives a control gate of a current source that sources current to gate terminals of both the pass transistor and the sense transistor. A limiting circuit also monitors the sense current and sinks current from the control terminal of the current source in order to limit a maximum current through the pass transistor.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are shown for integrating a photodiode and a receiver circuit on a single substrate. An input signal is received with the photodiode. The receiver circuit is configured to suppress feedback from an output terminal of the receiver circuit to the photodiode by amplifying the input signal to produce an amplified input signal, controlling the gain of the input signal amplification responsive to the magnitude of the amplified input signal, comparing the amplified input signal to a detection threshold voltage to produce a digital data signal, and holding the gain at a substantially constant level in response to a fast signal transition in the digital output signal.

Abstract: A releasable footplate assembly for a jigsaw includes a shaft portion having a handle, a screw boss having a yoke, a base portion having a bridge portion through which the screw extends into the screw boss and a bridge plate, attached to the screw, releasably engaging the bridge portion.
