  • Patent number: 7455277
Abstract: A pipe run is secured from theft by an antitheft apparatus providing a pair of straight tubes, coaxially engaged with an inner one of the tubes slidingly engaged within an outer one of the tubes. Each of the tubes provides a closure plate at one end with one or more apertures in it. A cover on an upper end of the inner tube is able to engage the pipe run to prevent it from being disassembled or pulled from its installation. To service the pipe run, the cover may be opened and the inner pipe lowered into the outer pipe. The tubes are secured to a mooring. Two of the apparatuses may be secured in spaced apart locations on the pipe run to secure components of the pipe run that are between the apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 7275889
Abstract: A pursuit vehicle carries a projectile housed within a launcher mounted on its front end. The projectile is able to be directed at high speed from the launcher toward a tire of a pursued vehicle. A tether line is coiled about a tether reel within the chase vehicle and is fixed to the projectile. The projectile has folded barbs that extend once the projectile has entered the tire and which keeps the projectile from flying out of the tire due to centripetal force. Being penetrated, the tire quickly looses pressure and deflates while the tether line wraps itself around the wheel's axle and brakes which can cause the wheel to stop spinning.

  • Patent number: 7231677
Abstract: A rectangular flexible fabric sheet has mounted corner holders. A horizontally oriented support is engaged with the corner holders for securing the sheet so as to enable a person to recline on the sheet. A pillow having a circular fabric outer cover is positioned at one end of the sheet. The pillow is split into two portions sharing the outer cover; each one of the portions providing a planar fabric inner panel. The inner panels share a common edge functional as a hinge enabling the two portions to assume an unfolded attitude wherein the inner panels lie abutting the sheet for supporting the neck and head of the reclining person, and a folded attitude wherein the inner panels mutually abut and thereby provide a more robust pillow.

  • Patent number: 7173536
Abstract: A spectrometer for infrared reflectance measurements of samples for identification of the sample materials is built into a steering wheel assembly. The spectrometer includes a window and optics on a bench adjacent the window, so that the optics will be aligned with the sample when the device is placed in optical alignment with or directly against the sample. The optics include a broad-band IR light source (ordinary lamp) shining onto an acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF), which passes narrow-band IR light with a swept frequency; a lens focusing the IR through the window onto the sample; and a reflectance detector aligned with the window of the spectrometer to pick up reflected light. A computer, which may be mounted in the spectrometer, compares the detected reflectance spectrum with stored sample data spectra, and identifies the material or the components of the material and their proportions. When a control substance is detected an alarm signal is produced.

  • Patent number: 7143783
Abstract: A fuel tank cap provides a safety valve mounted on a tubular vent stem for venting fluids from a fuel tank. The safety valve is adapted for engagement with the tubular vent stem so that the fluids may enter the safety valve. A pair of upper cavities communicate with the vent stem through small channels offset therefrom. The upper cavities contain valve balls seated by gravity against valve seats for restricting fluid flow from the vent stem into the upper cavities. One upper cavity provides a biasing spring seating its valve ball against the its valve seat. The upper cavities provide restrictors positioned for limiting movement of the valve balls away from their valve seats, and a cover sealingly engaged with the safety valve to form a small chamber. The upper valve body further provides exit channels for conducting the fluids to exit.

  • Patent number: 7114252
Abstract: A plurality of individual circuits are formed on a substrate. Each of the individual circuits is formed with electrical contacts. A spacer is sealed onto the substrate, the spacer peripherally enclosing each of the individual circuits while exposing the conductive contacts. A cover is positioned over the spacer is and integral with it. First conductive feedthroughs penetrate the cover, the first conductive feedthroughs positioned peripheral to each of the individual circuits. Conductive pads are formed on a bottom surface of the cover, the conductive pads in electrical continuity with the conductive contacts of the individual circuits. Conductive paths are formed on the bottom surface of the cover, the conductive paths each joining at least one of the conductive pads with at least one of the first conductive feedthroughs thereby establishing electrical continuity between the individual circuits and the first conductive feedthroughs so as to establish pin-outs.

The pouch is worn over the sex organs of a man under the underwear pant, which is adapted by an elastic waistband for compressively pinning the pouch in place. The pouch is made of a flexible and elastic material. A top edge of the pouch provides access to an interior of the pouch of a hand and wrist of the wearer so as to facilitate insertion of the wearer's sex organs into the pouch through an aperture, which encircles penis and scrotum. The aperture elastically compresses between a top surface at the base of the penis of the wearer and a bottom surface at the base of the scrotum of the wearer.
