Patent number: 6826693Abstract: When an information access request is made from a terminal for personal use via a computer network, a terminal information receiving section of an information transmission apparatus extracts terminal information contained in the request. A personal information collating section extracts personal information relevant to that person from personal information accumulated in a database. The information relevant to that person is collected from the database of an information server section and the like. The collected information is edited in an information editing section into contents suited to the terminal.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 1999Date of Patent: November 30, 2004Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Toshiko Yoshida, Toshimi Kiyohara

Patent number: 6821093Abstract: A fuel metering unit including a pump having a rotor with a plurality of slots. The pump also includes a pivotally movable cam ring coaxially arranged with respect to the rotor. Vanes are slideably disposed in the slots for maintaining contact with the cam ring during movement thereof. A servovalve has a motor and nozzles operatively connected to the pump such that increased flow through the first nozzle pivots the ring of the pump toward maximum while increased flow through the second nozzle pivots the ring toward minimum. An arm extends between the nozzles for varying fluid flow therethrough. The arm couples to the motor such that the motor moves the arm. A flow meter connects to the pump and an end of the arm for applying a force against the arm to assist in maintaining position of the arm.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2003Date of Patent: November 23, 2004Assignee: Goodrich Pump & Engine Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Raymond D. Zagranski, Roger Lapointe, William H. Dalton, Frank M. Amazeen

Patent number: 6684584Abstract: A shelter has a frame assembly (12), and a roof assembly (14) and flexible sidewall assembly (16) releasably connected thereto. The frame assembly (12) has a plurality of upright frame members (18) laterally spaced relative to each other, and a plurality of lateral frame members (20) extending laterally between and interconnecting the upright frame members (18). The flexible sidewall assembly (16) has a first sidewall frame (22), a second sidewall frame (24), and at least one flexible sidewall (26) connected at one end to the first sidewall frame (22) and connected at another end to the second sidewall frame (24) and extending therebetween. The flexible sidewall assembly (16) further has at least one tensioning device (68) connected to the flexible sidewall (26) for securing it in a taut condition to the frame assembly (12).Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2002Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Inventor: Brian L. Patent number: 6652395Abstract: A collapsible sports goal assembly movable between an open position and a closed position has a base frame, a front frame, and a top frame, and one or more connecting leg assemblies to provide support for the goal assembly. The base frame, the front frame, and the top frame respectively include a first leg, a second leg laterally spaced relative to the first leg and oriented approximately parallel thereto, and a third leg extending between the first and second legs. The first leg of the front frame is pivotally connected to the first leg of the base frame, and the second leg of the front frame is pivotally connected to the second leg of the base frame thereby pivotally connecting the front frame to the base frame. The first and second legs of the top frame are pivotally connected to the third leg of the front frame to thereby pivotally connect the top frame to the front frame.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2002Date of Patent: November 25, 2003Inventor: Brian L. Patent number: 6488133Abstract: A soft action clutch uses a helical spring attached to a pulley at one end and free at the other end. In a relaxed state, preferably, the helical spring presses outwardly pushing a brake pad assembly against a fixed outer field cup braking the pulley. To serve as a clutch, a rotor has a pole face to magnetically draw the helical spring towards it. The resulting friction between the rotor and helical spring causes the spring to wrap down on a spring loaded friction disk. The wrap down compresses the friction disk radially, creating two frictional links from the friction disk to the rotor and the pulley, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2000Date of Patent: December 3, 2002Assignee: Inertia Dynamics, Inc.Inventors: Kevin L. Maurice, Steven E. Nyquist, Kenneth G. Bosley, Jon L. Masthay
