    Abstract: A turntable has an annulus of discrete pockets and is indexible about a vertical axis to position successive pockets at a first station at a level directly above a second station where an intermittently advanced web or strip of coherent blanks is acted upon by cooperating fixed and mobile knives to sever blanks which are thereupon transferred by a pneumatic conveyor along a straight path vertically upwardly into successive pockets of the turntable. The blanks are provided with flaps during transfer from the second station into the respective pockets by moving through a stationary mouthpiece, and the thus deformed blanks can be used as so-called shoulder pieces or understrips in hinged-lid packets for arrays of rod-shaped smokers' products.

A combined monitoring and regulating system is provided to monitor the extent of sag of the insert between the outlet of the source and the confining station(s), to generate signals denoting the extent of sag, and to regulate the speed of a motor for the insert at the outlet of the source in response to such signals. The purpose of the combined signal generating and regulating system is to maintain the extent of sag of the insert between an upper threshold value and a lower threshold value.

    Abstract: A switch-over device which is useful for a gas insufflation device using liquid gas includes at least two inflow channels each blockable by a valve and at least one outflow channel for alternate removal of a fluid medium from a plurality of containers. The device has a switch-over piston movably mounted in a housing and comprising a base member which has at each end a valve closure member in a form of a body of rotation. The switch-over piston is driven by a pressure difference between the fluid media and connects one of the inflow channels to the outflow channel in each of two switching positions. A working chamber accommodates the switch-over piston, with sealing elements being provided for closing off the inflow channels in a pressure tight manner when the switch-over piston is in the correspondingly closed position and for dividing the working chamber into two portions sealed off from each other.

    Abstract: A satellite navigation method for a mobile station which is installed, in particular, in a traffic route-guided vehicle. Several reference marks are installed along the traffic route at predetermined distances from one another, with the geographic positions of the reference marks being known or supplied to a mobile station passing a reference mark. The reference marks are detected by a reading device which is disposed in the mobile station. At the location of a reference mark and at the moment of its detection, the actual ranges and the pseudoranges from all satellites that are relevant for navigation are determined simultaneously and are compared. The measuring error change of the satellite navigation or the adjustment of the correction value maybe carried out with the aid of a velocity indicator and a route map mounted on the mobile station. From these, correction values are derived which are used for a pseudorange correction outside of the range of the reference marks.
