Abstract: There are disclosed compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is ##STR2## Y is ##STR3## Z is --(CH.sub.2).sub.n O--, --(CH.sub.2).sub.n S--, ##STR4## R.sup.1 is ##STR5## n is 0-5; R.sup.2 is hydrogen, loweralkyl, loweralkoxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, trifluoromethyl, nitro, cyano or halo;R.sup.3 is ##STR6## W represents a bond or --O--, --S-- or ##STR7## m is 1-15; R.sup.4 is hydrogen or loweralkyl;R.sup.5 is lower alkyl, monofluoroloweralkyl, difluroloweralkyl, polyfluroloweralkyl, perfluoroloweralkyl or ##STR8## R.sup.6 is hydrogen lower alkyl, --COOR.sup.4 or ##STR9## R.sup.7 is OR.sup.4 or N(R.sup.4).sub.2 ; R.sup.8 is OR.sup.4 or N(R.sup.4).sub.2 ;and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and their use in the treatment of leukotriene-mediated naso-bronchial obstruction airpassageway conditions, such as allergic rhinitis, allergic bronchial asthma and the like, as antiinflammatory agents.

Abstract: This invention provides 3-quinuclidinyl benzamides which in the form of pharmaceutical compositions have utility as therapeutic agents which exhibit anxiolytic antipsychotic and cognitive improving effects in warm blooded animals.Illustrative of an invention compound is N-(1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl)-5-chloro-4-dimethylamino-2-hydroxythiobenz amide: ##STR1## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

Abstract: Pyridine derivatives of formula ##STR1## their heteroaromatic N-oxides and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts are disclosed. In the formula z is 0, 1 and 2 and R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.2 have specified meanings. The compounds exhibit activity as 5-HT.sub.1A agonists, antagonists or partial agonists and are useful for the treatment of CNS disorders e.g. anxiety, as antihypertensives and in treating anorexia.

Abstract: There are disclosed compounds of the formulaA(CH.sub.2).sub.n O--BwhereinA is ##STR1## n is 1-2; B is ##STR2## wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are each, independently, hydrogen or lower alkyl;R.sup.6 is hydrogen, halo or nitro; ##STR3## R.sup.8 is lower alkyl; m is 0-3;and the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof, and their use in the treatment of inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis and other immediate hypersensitivity reactions; in the treatment of leukotriene-mediated nasobronchial obstructive air-passageway conditions, such as allergic rhinitis, allergic bronchial asthma and the like; and as gastric cytoprotective agents.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method for the treatment of immunoinflammatory conditions, such as allergy, anaphylaxis, asthma, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease and inflammation in mammals which comprises administering to a mammal so afflicted an effective amount of a compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein Z is a group having the formula ##STR2## R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each, independently, hydrogen or lower alkyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each, independently, hydrogen, alkyl of 1-20 carbon atoms, halo, halo lower alkyl, halo lower alkoxy, lower alkoxy, halo lower alkylsulfonyl, nitro or trifluoromethyl, where at least one of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is other than hydrogen;R.sup.5 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or halo;A is --CH.sub.2 --, --O-- or --S--;m is 0-10;n is 1-8;X is hydrogen, fluoro, lower alkyl or aralkyl of 7-12 carbon atoms;or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.

Abstract: Novel 1-(azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3- or -4-yl)benzamides substituted on the benzene ring with the basic substituted aminomethyleneamino group have been found to be useful in treating emesis, including emesis due to chemical and radiation anticancer therapy, anxiety, and impaired gastric emptying. These compounds are represented by Formula I below.

Abstract: Methods and compositions are disclosed for vaccinating warm-blooded animals against coccidiosis utilizing suspensions of excysted coccidial sporozoites in physiologically balanced medium containing water-soluble polymeric stabilizers selected from gels, gelatins, polysaccharide gums, cellulose or cellulose derivatives which extend viability or storage, additional extension of viability in storage being attained when the suspensions are finely divided and the polymeric stabilizers are hardened to form microcapsules.Prior to administration, the microcapsule is treated with a chelating agent in order to provide greater efficiency and speed of sporozoite release from the microcapsule and thus improved innoculation against oocyst challenge when compared with microcapsules which have not been treated with a chelating agent.
