  • Patent number: 4226419
Abstract: A chess type game played by two players on a playing board having 64 squares. Each player has four rectangular pieces called North, South, East, and West and a number of three different colored pins. Each piece has four directional vectors, an orientation indicator, and five pin openings in its head. Each piece can move in four directions as indicated by the vectors and the movement of each piece is different from the movement of another piece. Three basic play actions are score, restrict movement, and force movement. A game objective of scoring a specified number of time on the playing pieces of the opponent, scoring one time on opponent's special playing piece, or capturing the opponent's special playing piece is selected before play by the players. Special rules to accompany the selected game objective may also be selected before play by the players. The game may vary depending on the selected game objective and the special rules selected for the game by the players.

  • Patent number: 4195443
Abstract: A pair of left-end and right-end clips which are each installed with a pop rivet to the left-end portion and right-end portion, respectively, of an existing glass panel of a jalousie or louver. • Patent number: 4117574
Abstract: A connector joins a fish line to a leader without the need of knotting the fish line. The fish line is passed through a cylindrical opening located at one end of a round shaft, then wound around several spiral grooves in the surface of the shaft, then passed through at least two lock holes which are approximately perpendicular to the cylindrical opening and are recessed so that the fish line does not protrude out when passing from one lock hole to another lock hole. A leader is secured to a leader opening at the other end of the shaft. A soft plastic tubing may be inserted into the cylindrical opening to prevent the weakening of the fish line while trolling.

  • Patent number: 4090466
Abstract: Gas "Eggconomizer" is a visual display device which indicates the rate of fuel consumption in an internal combustion engine. The device is loaded on the dash of an automobile and is connected by a tube to the intake manifold of the engine. The device includes an egg-shaped transparent container, an egg-shaped core with an elastic coating within the container, a support at the bottom of the container and a tube connected near the top of the container. When the device is subjected to the intake manifold vacuum, the upper half of the elastic coating reacts by varying in size to reflect the magnitude of the vacuum. High vacuum, which indicates minimal gas consumption, increases the size; while low vacuum, which indicates increased gas consumption, decreases the size. The device can be used to improve gas conservation driving habits.

  • Patent number: 3965787
Abstract: A retractable blade guard which protects the operator from the blade of a rotary saw or other cutters. The guard includes two moveable cam-action guard sections of similar design mounted on the opposite ends of a conventional hood guard. Each section includes an obverse leaf rigidly connected to a reverse leaf by a rod and a guard extension. Each guard section moves independently of the other. The guard section rides up, onto and on top of, and down over the fence or the stock as it is being cut in either direction during cross-cutting, mitering or ripping, yet provides optimal coverage of the blade in the cutting zone.
