Abstract: A novelty product includes a holder to be held inside the mouth of a user and a carrier to be held removably by the holder and having a first compartment containing a chemiluminescent solution separated from a second compartment containing an activator for the chemiluminescent solution by a frangible barrier. The carrier may be inserted into the holder and the holder flexed to break the barrier and mix the chemiluminescent solution and activator to produce chemiluminescent light inside the mouth of a user. The carrier can be replaced upon the light produced diminishing.
Abstract: A chemiluminescent novelty eyeglass frame has curved portions which will extend proximate the eyes of the user. The curved portions are formed with channels which are adapted to receive compartmented ampules containing a chemiluminescent solution separated from an activator. A frangible barrier is provided in the ampules, and the barrier is ruptured by bending the ampules for insertion into the channels. In this way, the chemiluminescent solution and activator mix to produce chemiluminescent light emanating from the frame upon insertion of the ampules into the channels of the curved portions of the eyeglass frame.
Abstract: A watch suitable for use in outdoor activities includes a casing holding the workings of the watch which includes a watch face. A clear facing for viewing the watch is held to the casing, and a bezel held rotatably to the casing carries an integral fob for securing the watch to the user. In this way, the watch casing may be rotated by the user to orient the watch face for viewing.
Abstract: A decorative fashion accessory is formed of an elastic band having a plurality of layers of fabric material held in a gathered condition around the band. The layers are held to the band in such a manner that each rim portion may bunch individually as the elastic band contracts to provide a decorative fashion accessory which can resemble attractively a flower or similar ornament.
Abstract: An adjustable support for holding models in a working position for a hobbyist includes a quadrilateral frame having opposed side walls and opposing end walls which are each adjustable. The end walls and the side walls have overlapping portions having aligned longitudinal slots which can receive a securing pin so that the length, as well as the pitch of the walls, can be adjusted.
Abstract: A decorative bag and method of using are provided which includes an insert to be positioned within the bottom portion of a decorative bag having an open top. The insert includes a plurality of lengths of paper fan-folded thereon and each length of paper has a length enabling it to be extended outwardly from the open top of the bag. At least the upper portion of each length of paper is cut longitudinally to enable the length to be extended outwardly from the bag and individually separated so that they may be able to form a decorative surface for an item placed within the bag.
Abstract: A safety shield for an electric plug includes a plate member adapted to be held secure against the base of the electric plug with the prongs of the plug extending through complementary openings in the plate member. The plate member carries rotatably a flexible cage member surrounding the prongs of the electric plug, and the cage member is collapsible. In this way as the prongs are inserted into the electric outlet, the cage will collapse to permit insertion, and as the plug is withdrawn from the electric outlet, the cage member will return to its original shape to guard against inadvertent contact with the electrical prongs. The cage member includes a bar element which in one position of the cage member will lie across the tips of the prongs to prevent insertion into an electric outlet, and the cage member can be rotated to position the bar element between the prongs of the plug to enable the plug to be inserted into an electric outlet.
Abstract: A decorative fashion accessory includes an elastic band surrounded partially along the circumference by bunched fabric of relatively large dimension; and a ring of fabric of appreciably less dimension surrounds the remaining portion of the band. In this way, the accessory can encircle a length of hair with the ring in close proximity to the head of the wearer to secure the device in position. In one form of the present invention, an opening can be provided circumferentially along the bunched fabric of relatively large dimension with a closure thereto to provide a pocket for securing articles.
Abstract: An aerial toy includes a balloon adapted to be filled with a lighter-than-air gas and a pinwheel connected to a lower portion of the balloon. A string is connected between the upper and lower portions of the toy, and a light weight string can be connected to a lower portion of the balloon. A string is connected between the upper and lower portions of the toy, and a light weight string can be connected to this string to enable the inflated balloon to rise upwardly with the attached pinwheel by letting out the light weight string. The light weight string is attached to an upper portion of the toy so that when the light weight string is tugged, the toy tilts forwardly to produce a stable lifting effect. An adaptor for connecting the pinwheel to the balloon is formed of two elements, with the first element receiving the centered balloon with its filling stem extending through a hollow cylindrical member having a slot in its lower portion.
Abstract: A device worn on a user's hand which sheaths for the tips of the fingers includes a housing for a water reservoir, a water pump and electrical motor and a battery pack to be secured to the user's body. An actuator is mounted is mounted on a finger sheath. When the actuator is depressed the motor drives the pump to eject water in spurts from a discharge nozzle mounted in a second finger sheath.
