Abstract: A method and system that dynamically ranks electronic messages based on their situational and inherent dimensions, which are judged by a set of filters. These filters evaluate the different elemental metadata constituting a message and produce a priority value based on filters relevance and importance. The system iterates through queued messages, examine the structured content for expected attributes, statistically analyze unstructured content, apply dynamically weighted rules and policies to deliver a priority ranking, and then display the message and its vital attributes in accordance with the priority ranking. The system also adaptive learns and adjusts its weighted rules and policies to permit priority ranking to change on real-time or interval-based (may be user-defined) schedule. The system includes a GUI for increasing reading and processing efficiency.
Abstract: Systems and methods of using the systems for delivering information related to a remote location to individuals at the remote location are disclosed. The system comprises a memory device affixed to a physical object at the remote location, the information related to the remote location residing on the memory device, and a portable memory reading device, separate from the memory device, that retrieves the information from the memory device when positioned at the remote location and communicates the information to a party located at the remote location. The system may further comprise a database wherein the information residing on the memory device is replicated and the database can be accessed by a user of the system via a suitable communications medium or combination of mediums.

Abstract: The present invention relates to assisting patients in the taking of medication, and to assisting third parties in accumulating information regarding patient medication intake. The invention may be embodied a system including a portable medication monitor used in association with an instrumented medication package to provide intake data acquisition and patient support functions. The system may further be connected to a computer or computer network allowing information distribution between the medication monitor and third parties, such as physicians or pharmacists.
Abstract: Various processes are disclosed for preparing procyanidin oligomers having (4,8)-interflavan linkages. In an improved process, a tetra-O-protected-epicatechin or -catechin monomer or oligomer is coupled with a protected, C-4 alkoxy-activated-epicatechin or -catechin monomer in the presence of an acidic clay instead of a Lewis acid. In a second process, a 5,7,3?,4?-tetra-O-protected or preferably penta-O-protected-epicatechin or -catechin monomer or oligomer is reacted with a tetra-O-protected or preferably penta-O-protected-epicatechin or -catechin monomer having a thio activating group at the C-4 position; the coupling is carried out in the presence of silver tetrafluoroborate. In third process, two molecules of a penta-O-protected-epicatechin or -catechin monomer activated with a 2-(benzothiazolyl)thio group at the C-4 position are self-condensed in the presence of silver tetrafluoroborate.
