  • Patent number: 5014861
Abstract: The modular system comprises plural components adapted to be joined to each other by supporting and retaining members and to be mounted on stands at any desired level above ground. It is intended to further develop the modular system such that its versatility in respect of the provision and adaptation of working-place equipment is substantially improved, while at the same time the number of basic elements necessary for assembly is reduced. This is achieved in that each retaining member forms at least one multi-part combinable nodal-point body having at least one through-bore, the plane or planes of division of said body extending through said through-bores, and in that each supporting member is rod-like or a plate-like structural body adapted to be inserted into the bipartite through-bore of the nodal-point body and to be securely joined thereto by clampingly joining the individual parts of the nodal-point body.

  • Patent number: 5013592
Abstract: A plaque for displaying and preserving one or more selected objects. The plaque includes a glass plate on the back of which is provided a painted silk-screened design. The design provides that the central region of the plaque is not painted thereby allowing for placement therein of the object to be displayed. Once the object is in place, colored films are selectively placed over areas not painted by the silk-screened pattern. Where certain non-painted areas are selectively left open after placement of the colored films, the remaining spaces are silvered by the application thereover of a silver foil. The silver foil may also be applied to the back of the colored film. A protective backing is lastly applied over the layers of paint, the object, the film and the silver foil.

  • Patent number: 5011407
Abstract: The present invention provides a custom impression dental tray having a sheet of thermosetting material. The thermosetting material is preferably polycapractone which becomes pliable at a temperature between 130.degree.-140.degree. F. but becomes rigid at the temperature of the human mouth. An optional separation layer is disposed over one side of the sheet of thermosetting material with a wax or clay-like consistency. In practice, the tray is heated to a temperature of between 115.degree.-150.degree. F. and then molded around the teeth in the patient's mouth (or the impression of the patient's mouth for denture work). After the tray has ridigified, the separation layer and wax covering are removed from the tray thus providing a space for dental impression material to allow a final impression to be made.

  • Patent number: 5009323
Abstract: A closure including a standard threaded cap having a tamper indicating band depending from the cap skirt by frangible webs. The tamper indicating band has an inwardly directed bead which cooperates with a flange on the container neck which allows the band to rotate with the cap but prevents the band from being removed past the container flange. Alternatively the tamper indicating band contains spaced ratchet teeth which engage ratchet teeth on the container neck to prevent further rotation. A rotary seal is provided between the cap and container neck which is effective for an axial length A greater than the sum of a distance B between the cap bead and the container flange when the cap is tightened or the axial movement of the cap in rotating the ratchet teeth into contact and the distance C which the frangible webs stretch before fracture. Thus the rotary seal prevents access to the product prior to breaking the tamper indicating band loose from the cap.
