Abstract: Apparatus for draining surgical wounds is disclosed. One embodiment of the apparatus includes a disposable container to which a manual vacuum pump is releasably attached. The disposable container preferably includes an elastic bellows portion to provide a gauge of the subatmospheric pressure in the disposable container. The elastic bellows portion is preferably located in the neck of the container. The container may be rectangular or cylindrical. A suspension clamp for suspending the container from a bed sheet or a patient garment is also disclosed. Another embodiment of the container includes a vacuum chamber and a fluid collection chamber. The pump is in fluid communication with the vacuum chamber but isolated from the fluid collection chamber by a hydrophobic filter to prevent contamination of the pump with collected fluid.

Abstract: An article storage system capable of being suspended and having two vertical rows of article receiving compartments having side access openings. Lower brackets are affixed to flexible strips to allow the article storage system to be hung under tension in conjunction with upper brackets. Rods are provided adjacent the side access openings to rigidize the article receiving compartments.

Abstract: An athletic shoe having basketball assembly including a flat backboard affixed to the athletic shoe. A rim is attached to the backboard and supports a flexible net.

Abstract: Scrubber attachments for a standard sink sprayer having a housing fitting over the sprayer. A rotary or stationary sponge or brush is exteriorly attached to the housing for scrubbing surfaces and items. A soap dispenser is incorporated in the housing for dispensing soap during scrubbing.

Abstract: A domed stitchable display article having a substrate base formed from a laminated plastic and fabric. Printing images are applied to the upper surface and are encapsulated by a dome formed from a polyurethane rubber. A barrier is applied to the upper surface to alter the surface tension of the upper surface and limit outward flow of polyurethane during the fabrication portion. The substrate base forms stitchable flange portions.

Abstract: A unit measurer for a syringe for use by the visually impaired or others including a plurality of blocks having predetermined lengths representing desired dosages. The blocks have a slot for individual placement on the rod of the syringe to limit movement of the syringe plunger for dispensing a given amount.

Abstract: A fire hydrant adaptor and cover for attachment to the uncovered outlet pipe of a fire hydrant. The fire hydrant adaptor and cover includes an adaptor pipe having a first end with internal threads of attachment to the fire hydrant outlet, and a second end having external threads to connect a fire hose and internal threads to secure a cover plate. The cover plate is formed from a metallic material and is inserted into the second end of the adaptor pipe. The cover plate is removed by magnetized elements or by engaging a rectangular hole formed on the cover face.
