Abstract: The present invention is a cooperative advance warning system for use in warning oncoming traffic of unexpected upcoming road hazards. The system comprises a lamp mounted on a vehicle so that light emitted by the lamp is visible to drivers of oncoming vehicles, a switch accessible to the driver for activating the lamp when the driver comes upon an unexpected road hazard, and an electronic control unit for controlling the characteristics of the light emitted from the lamp.
Abstract: The invention is directed toward a sterile cartilage defect implant material comprising milled lyophilized allograft cartilage pieces ranging from 0.01 mm to 1.0 mm in size in a bioabsorbable carrier taken from a group consisting of sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid and its derivatives, gelatin, collagen, chitosan, alginate, buffered PBS, Dextran or polymers with allogenic chondrocytes or bone marrow cells in an amount exceeding the natural occurrence of same in hyaline cartilage and adding a cell growth additive.

Abstract: An apparatus assembly for forming a layered dessert in a predetermined layered dome forming a hemispheric shape including a first mold having a dome shaped bowl with a closed semi-spherical end and an open end, and a ring shaped planar support base secured to said closed end of bowl body. A second mold comprises a circular pan with a flat bottom surface and a curved outer side extending upward from the bottom surface with the area formed by a plane across the top of the curved outer side, the inner surface curved side and the bottom surface forming a section of a sphere. A lip is formed on both molds extending outward from the open end.
Abstract: The invention is directed toward an osteoimplant for application to a bone defect site to promote new bone growth at the site which comprises a new bone growth inducing composition of demineralized allograft bone material mixed with an aqueous phosphate buffered gelatin which when lyophilized to remove water from the composition cross links the gelatin to form a solid structure.

Abstract: A composite allograft bone device having a first bone member body with a face that defines a plurality of spaced projections forming a pattern and a second bone member body defining a face that forms a plurality of spaced projections forming a second pattern. The projections in the first face allow the two bodies to be mated together. The mated bodies form a composite bone device which is provided with a throughgoing bore and a threaded rod member mounted in the throughgoing bore extending into and engaging the bone member bodies holding the same together. Alternatively a rod member with a demineralized or knurled outer surface can be press fit into the throughgoing bore engaging the bone member bodies in an interference fit holding the same together. In another embodiment an inner central cancellous bone block is surrounded by plates or a U shaped base constructed of cortical bone material.

Abstract: The invention is directed toward a formable bone composition for application to a bone defect site to promote new bone growth at the site which comprises a new bone growth inducing compound of demineralized lyophilized allograft bone particles. The particle size ranges from about 0.1 mm to about 1.0 cm and is mixed in a hydrogel carrier containing a sodium phosphate saline buffer, the hydrogel component of the carrier ranging from about 1.0 to 5.0% of the composition and a pH between 6.8–7.4 with one or more additives of a cellular material, growth factor, demineralized bone chips or mineralized bone chips.
Abstract: The bone marrow mixing instrument having a handle housing with a trigger mounted thereto. The handle housing contains a ratchet drive feed mechanism with a pawl assembly and a moveable ratchet bar. The other end of the ratchet bar is secured to a mixing housing which holds syringes filled with material and defines channels leading from the syringe area to a mixing nozzle removably mounted to the mixing housing. A piston rod and piston are mounted in each syringe containing bone defect material with a piston being advanced within the respective syringe by the feed mechanism to discharge bone defect material from the syringe into the adjacent channels in the mixing housing and into the mixing nozzle.
Abstract: A storage rack for storing pots, pans, skillets and lids comprising a storage rack constructed of a stand and a base member mounted to the stand. A plurality of wire members are mounted to the base member and extending upward from the base member, the plurality of wire members including U shaped wire members and offset U shaped wire members with a plurality of rods secured to the offset portion. The rods extend upward and away from the offset portion and a handle is mounted to the base member.
Abstract: A flexible, demineralized unitary bone sheet comprised of cortical cancellous bone having a residual calcium weight of 3.0% to 8.0% with a hyaluronic acid component having a molecular weight of 700,000 to 1,500,000 with the weight of the same ranging from 1% to about 5% of the total sheet weight. The bone sheet is adapted for use during the in vivo repair of a mammalian or animal skeletal system with the thickness of the cortical cancellous sheet ranging from 2.0 mm to about 8.0 mm. The bone sheet has sufficient flexibility to allow the sheet to be shaped to conform to the configuration of a skeletal region to be repaired and sufficient tensile strength to allow the sheet to be so shaped without damage to the sheet.

Abstract: A bone screw assembly comprising: a bone screw with an externally threaded shank having a head integrally formed at the proximal end and defining a cannula extending through the head and shank. An internal thread formed on the surface defining the inner cannula to receive an anchor bolt having a threaded portion, and a head defining plurality of throughgoing wire receiving holes.
Abstract: An assembly for forming multiple individual compound desserts in a predetermined dome shape including a first base sheet having a plurality of dome shaped bowls extending therefrom, each dome shaped bowl being formed with a closed semi-spherical end and an open end. A second top sheet is seated on the first base sheet and is provided with a plurality of dome shaped bowls of a smaller diameter than the bowls of the first base sheet, the bowls of the second sheet being mounted in the first base sheet bowls. Fasteners hold both sheets together to prevent separation caused by the expansion of the baking batter of the dessert.
Abstract: A washable hammock is described, having a spreader bar which can be readily removed, allowing the hammock to be laundered. The spreader bar can be reinserted after the hammock is laundered.
