Patent number: 6805908Abstract: A film, and process for making the same, that can be used as a label and which provides an etched appearance by the application of the combination of at least two layers of coarse-grained inks. A more specific form of the invention is to prepare a heat-shrink over-wrap film label as disclosed and then apply it to a regular glass bottle so as to create the appearance of an all-over etched treatment or a look of etched treatment to specific areas only. According to another more specific version of the invention, a heat-shrinkable overwrap sleeve may be printed as described above with a portion of the finish gradated from a full strength coating on the main body section of the container to a lesser degree in a continuous gradation over to a narrower neck part of the bottle to be covered.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2002Date of Patent: October 19, 2004Assignee: Multi-Color CorporationInventors: Jonathan D. Patent number: 5809954Abstract: Start of fuel delivery for a fuel-injected engine having separate unit injectors is adjusted by effecting a positional adjustment of camshaft lobes on a camshaft. The camshaft is used to operate the unit injectors, as well as control exhaust valve operations. By separately controlling the position of the cam lobes which operate the unit fuel injectors, a change it start of fuel delivery is effected. A change in relative position of the cam lobes is accomplished by shifting a guide rod within a hollow body of the camshaft. The change in position of the guide rod, in turn, effects a change in position of the cam lobes which are connected to the guide rod.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 1996Date of Patent: September 22, 1998Assignee: Timing Systems, Inc.Inventors: Michael J. Patent number: 5793164Abstract: A wing tip system for rotor craft includes a downwardly-facing light housing to provide a visual aid to rotor wingtip position. This system is visible to crew members and to adjacent crew, particularly when using night vision goggles (NVG) or other ambient night vision (ANVIS) equipment. This allows tip lighting to be provided in situations where covert helicopter operations are desired. The lighting further is compatible with ANVIS equipment, in that it permits operation noncandescent light in order to prevent blooming or other effects which would otherwise diminish the effectiveness of the ANVIS equipment. The lighting system further has a higher level of illumination, in which rotor tip lighting is increased to become more visible without the use of ANVIS equipment.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1996Date of Patent: August 11, 1998Inventor: Ricky J. Authier

Patent number: 5788293Abstract: A separator for separating gold particles from ore including a rotatable pan, and frame for mounting the pan through a recessed hub cup assembly at an angle from horizontal. The pan includes a frusto-conical side wall. The pan inner surface also includes a riffle spiraling inwardly from the outer end of the side wall to create loops that spiral to the hub cup. The riffle and the pan inner surface form a slide track in which the gold particles move along the riffle to reach the hub cup. One of the improvements includes a plurality of agitator knobules that are positioned between the loops of the riffle. Another feature is an easily removable insert cup inside the hub cup for easy collection of gold. In use, ore is introduced into the pan during rotation. Particles are agitated by the knobules to separate the particles from the ore and aid the particles down the slide track, moving the particles inwardly along the riffle into the insert cup.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1997Date of Patent: August 4, 1998Inventor: Leo M. Patent number: 5772188Abstract: A suspension component (300) has a pair of elongated slidably coupled in a telescoping arrangement. A pair of attachment plates (305, 306) are fixed to the respective suspension components (311, 314) inside an outer tube of one of the suspension components (314). An elastomeric section (303) is bonded to attachment plates (305, 306), so that collapsing the suspension components (311, 314) results in an extension of the elastomeric section (303). An adjustment mechanism is provided in the form of a rotatable threaded boss (316) mounted on one of the suspension components (314) and rotatably journaled to one of the attachment plates (306). Rotation of the suspension components causes attachment plate (306) to move axially along the length of the suspension component (314).Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1997Date of Patent: June 30, 1998Inventor: Ronn A. Patent number: 5754109Abstract: A sensor that senses the absence of a high-magnetic permeable coin box (10) that, in its quiescent state, is mounted within a compartment (12) of a coin operated device, such as a pay telephone (14). The compartment has at least one interior surface (16). The sensor includes an electromagnetic switch (20) having two states (open circuit, closed circuit) that affect a signal to an output device (22) when the switch (20) is activated from one state to another. In preferred form, the switch (20) is a reed switch. A magnet (18) normally provides magnetic flux flow to the switch. When the magnetic flux flow is disrupted, the switch (20) changes from one state to another. The switch (20) and the magnet (18) are fixably-connected to at least one surface (16) of the compartment (12).Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1996Date of Patent: May 19, 1998Assignee: Foursum International, Inc.Inventor: Brian M.
