  • Patent number: 7311421
Abstract: An ornament having an upper hub, a lower hub, a platform, a central pole and a coil. The upper hub is mounted directly on top of the lower hub with the platform permanently attached to the lower hub for attachment to virtually any smooth surface. The coil wraps around the pole, which is threaded and mates with internal grooves in the upper hub. The coil includes a string of lights plugged into an electrical outlet in the upper hub. The upper hub freely rotates with respect to the lower hub, which remains stationary. To maintain electrical contact between the lights and a power supply, copper tabs protrude from the lower hub and extend into copper rings in the upper hub.

  • Patent number: 7290552
Abstract: A portable awning comprising a flexible shading element, an attachment strap for anchoring the shading element to an existing vertical support structure, and poles for maintaining the shading element at a vertically elevated position with respect to the surface of the ground. The shading element is constructed from a waterproof material such as canvas or nylon and substantially protects a user from overexposure to inclement environmental conditions, including direct sunlight, wind, rain, and snow. The poles and the attachment strap are easily disengaged from the shading element, and the shading element is foldable, thereby providing a portable awning which is easily disassembled in order that it be transported between locations or stored between successive uses.

  • Patent number: 7287737
Abstract: A cover frame assembly for use in conjunction with an existing flat panel display of a display device such as a high definition television. The cover frame assembly comprises an outer frame, and a one-way mirror attached within the outer frame. After mounting the flat panel display to a wall, the outer frame is selectively extended over the flat panel display and is supported by the flat panel display. The images projected by the flat panel display upon activation of the display device are easily seen through the one-way mirror. When the display device is deactivated, the reflective surface of the one-way mirror obscures the flat panel display, and the combined frame assembly and flat panel display appear to be a decorative, wall mounted mirror.

  • Patent number: 7288052
Abstract: An exercise device for strengthening the abdominal muscles and the arm muscles of a user, comprising a T-shaped, tension loaded press bar that selectively telescopes within an elongated shaft when pressed by the hands of the user. The press bar is mechanically linked to the shaft by a stretchable band having an equilibrium relaxed conformation and also having a stretched conformation. When the user presses down upon the press bar, this causes the press bar to substantially retract into the shaft and simultaneously causes the rubber band to be stretched from its relaxed conformation, thereby simultaneously exercising the muscles of the user. The exercise device may be selectively folded upon three hinges, thereby providing an exercise device that is easily carried, shipped, and stored.

  • Patent number: 7285038
Abstract: A sanding attachment, for use in conjunction with an existing reciprocating power tool, for sanding a rough surface of an existing object. The sanding attachment comprises a main part being an elongated strip of metal having an attachment end for selective attachment to the power tool, and a sanding end. Attached to the sanding end is a sanding pad having a sanding surface for efficiently sanding an object. The sanding attachment has a twist which results in the attachment end and the sanding end being substantially mutually perpendicular to one another. After the sanding attachment has been selectively attached to the power tool, and the power tool is held within the hands of the user is the usual fashion, the sanding attachment is suitably positioned for efficiently sanding a substantially horizontal surface.

  • Patent number: 7281601
Abstract: A fluid driven differential, having a fluid filled housing, an input shaft, and a pair of output shafts. The input shaft is attached to an automobile driveshaft outside of the housing and to a propeller inside the housing. The output shafts are each attached to an axle and wheel outside the housing and to a turbine inside the housing. When the driveshaft rotates the input shaft, the propeller generates a fluid current that turns the turbines and thereby turns the output shafts, the axles, and the wheels. A pair of return conduits direct fluid from the vicinity of the turbines to the vicinity of the propeller.

  • Patent number: 7246784
Abstract: A spring-loaded shelf for an existing beverage cooler, which obviates the need for a user to reach more deeply within the confines of the cooler for a beverage as the contents of the cooler become depleted. The spring-loaded shelf has a base, a platform pivotally attached to the base by two scissor-type linkages, and a lifting mechanism for selectively and automatically raising the platform with respect to the base upon the scissor-type linkages, as the weight of the beverages placed upon the platform gradually decreases. Use of the spring-loaded shelf prevents injury to the user while retrieving a beverage from the cooler, and also provides for increased accessibility and visibility of the contents of the cooler.

  • Patent number: 7244183
Abstract: A gaming system that employs a video game system and action figures to allow both video game play and action figure play. A video game score, obtained by a player through video game play, may be transferred to the action figure associated with that player to become the action figure score of that action figure. The action figures have a gun that generates a light beam and a target detector for receiving light beams from other action figures. The action figure will register a hit, and break apart, if its target detector receives a light beam from another action figure that has a higher action figure score.
