Abstract: A herbicidal composition is provided which comprises: an aqueous solution of a herbicidally acceptable salt of N-phosphonomethylglycine; a quaternary ammonium compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein each A represents an alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently an alkyl or alkanol group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R.sup.3 is an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a group having the formula (AO).sub.m --H; n (in a compound in which R.sup.3 is an alkyl group) or n+m (in a compound in which R.sup.3 is a group having the formula (AO).sub.m --H), has a value of from 2 to 15; and X.sup.
