  • Patent number: 8047824
Abstract: A vane-machine with cylinder stationary and rotating parts is intended for use as a driving or a working machine, utilizing compressible or non-compressible media as the working fluid. The vane-machine basic embodiment comprises: a cylinder stationary part (A), cylinder rotating parts (B), a rotor (C), covers (D), and vanes with grooves (F). The cylinder stationary part has a shroud (1) within which the rotor with the vanes rotates. In the shroud there are radial rectangular openings (5 and 6) letting the media in and out. The openings may be of other shapes as well. The inner ring (8) of roller or sliding bearings are rotationally driven by the vanes. The rotor is positioned eccentrically-relative to the shroud axes. At the rotor there are firmly fitted lateral plates (14) that rotate jointly with the rotor. The vane-machine working chamber is delimited with the shroud, the inner rings, the vanes and the plates.

  • Patent number: 8028662
Abstract: A positive-reinforced method of training a dog to chew or mouth only appropriate household items and chew toys. The method includes scent-training the dog (or puppy) to recognize a particular distinctive scent not normally found in nature as applied to an acceptable chewing object. The dog is introduced to the distinctive scent and encouraged to chew the marked acceptable chewing object. Each time the dog recognizes the scent, the dog is encouraged to chew the scented chewing object or some other acceptable chewing object marked with the distinctive scent and rewarded. The dog is tested with at least one unmarked object. The dog is trained once the dog can discriminate between the scent-marked object or objects and the unmarked object or objects. From there, the scent may be applied to other household items that are acceptable chewing/mouthing items (e.g., other chew toys). By absence of the scent, the dog recognizes that it cannot chew on unacceptable items (e.g., furniture, shoes).

  • Patent number: 7726706
Abstract: A latch mechanism for gates and the like for readily latching a slide bar to a locking unit. The locking unit has a block with a front and back plate that are fixedly attached to each other about portions of peripheries of the front and back plates that define an opening with a side slot and at least one adjacent top or bottom slot. Positioned within at least one top or bottom slot is at least one pivoting release lever having a first leg and a second leg movable about a pivot. One of the legs has a portion configured to engage a portion of a slide bar when restraining movement of the slide bar relative to the block. The other leg abuts and aids in dislodging the slide from the block when a force is applied to the pivoting lever. The latch mechanism further includes a slide bar guide.

  • Patent number: 7419339
Abstract: The invention relates to a drill thread milling cutter (1) for producing a bore and for the subsequent milling of a thread in the bore, said drill thread milling cutter (1) having a working region (2), on the circumference (3) of which a number of drilling and milling cutting edges are arranged. A number of milling cutting edges (7, 8, 9, 10) greater than the number of drilling cutting edges (17) by a factor greater than 2 are arranged or are effective in the direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 7278489
Abstract: Gas turbine driven oil lifting device for increasing the quantity of oil obtained over a specified time (e.g. barrels per day) and the percentage of total amount obtained from oil-bearing geological deposits. The device is installed in a technical column (1) and consists of sections (12) and (18), separated by a bypass packer (11), on which a gas turbine (9) is fixed by a coupling (14) and a tubing (17) with a plurality of valves (four preferred: (3), (4), (6), and (8)) that are fixed to the gas turbine (9) by a coupling (15). Above the gas turbine (9) is a check valve (16) that is installed within the tubing (17). Parallel with the tubing (17) is a supply tube (2) of the gas turbine that is fixed by at least one coupling. The bottom end of the supply tube (2) is connected to an opening (20) at an upper head (34) of the gas turbine (9) by a flexible hose (7). The device may operate continually and periodically.

  • Patent number: 7261264
Abstract: A locking assembly for readily attaching and detaching a device to a surface such as a wall, non-planar surface, or a plurality of bars such as those found in a kennel. The locking assembly has a bracket assembly with a front and back plate that are fixedly attached to each other about portions of peripheries of the front and back plates defining an opening therebetween with a top slot and at least one side slot. The back plate is directly or indirectly fixedly attached to a surface. Positioned within at least one side slot is at least one pivoting release lever having an upper leg and lower leg movable about a pivot. The locking assembly further includes a yoke assembly having a yoke assembly plate of a size and shape to fit edgewise and be guided into the opening between the front and bottom plates via the top slot. The upper leg of the pivoting release lever and an exterior surface of the yoke assembly plate can be mateably restrained through a pair of interlocking notches.
