    Abstract: The production process of the invention comprises a first step of hydrodesulfurizing of catalytically-cracked gasoline so as to result in an olefin hydrogenation rate of no greater than 25 mol % in the catalytically-cracked gasoline, a total sulfur content of no greater than 20 ppm by weight based on the product oil weight, a sulfur content derived from thiophenes and benzothiophenes of no greater than 5 ppm by weight and a sulfur content derived from thiacyclopentanes of no greater than 0.1 ppm by weight, and a second step of further hydrodesulfurizing of the product oil obtained by the first step so as to result in a total of no greater than 30 mol % for the olefin hydrogenation rate in the first step and the olefin hydrogenation rate in the second step, a total sulfur content of no greater than 10 ppm by weight based on the product oil weight, and a sulfur content derived from thiols of no greater than 5 ppm by weight.

    Abstract: An oxidation catalyst is provided which is capable of combusting PM in a diesel engine exhaust gas at a low temperature and which has low degradation due to heat generated during combustion (i.e., has high heat resistance). A composite oxide for an exhaust gas purification catalyst is formed from Ce, Bi, R, R?, and oxygen, and when the molar ratios of Ce, Bi, R, and R? are expressed as Ce:Bi:R:R?=(1?x?y?z) :x:y:z, it satisfies 0<x?0.4, 0<y<1.0, and 0<z?0.5. Since this composite oxide has no change in its BET value even when treated at a high temperature, and can withstand a high amount of sulfur poisoning, retrogradation due to poisoning is low. Therefore, this exhaust gas purification catalyst is suitable as a PM combustion catalyst.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to a material and method for obtaining a ceramic abradable system for high temperature applications. High purity partially stabilized zirconia and/or hafnia base material has higher sintering resistance compared to conventional 6-9 weight percent yttria stabilized zirconia systems. The benefits of these systems are higher service lifetime and low thermal conductivity to achieve high operating temperatures. System includes a superalloy substrate, oxidation resistant bond coat and a thick ceramic abradable top coat. Total coating thickness is about 0.5-5 mm. In some applications an intermediate layer of high purity partially stabilized zirconia or a partially stabilized YSZ/MCrAlY cermet is applied over the oxidation resistant bond coat. In other applications an abradable system is applied on top of a grid. Additional benefits should be reduced blade wear at high operating conditions.

In contrast, in II-form crystals, the amount of the organic solvent remaining therein is smaller than the detection limit. Namely, the II-form crystals contain substantially no residual organic solvent. The novel II-form crystals of 5-hydroxy-1-methylhydantoin obtained through recrystallization from water not only contain substantially no residual organic solvent, but also have a high bulk density and are hence advantageous for pharmaceutical preparation. They further have properties advantageous for production, such as low adhesion. The crystals are significantly useful as a material for medicines required to have high safety, such as drugs for renal insufficiency.

The fingers catch behind the mounting device so that this is pulled off to drop into the container with the needle when the syringe is withdrawn from the tube.
