    Abstract: There is provided a method of manufacturing an electric motor. To begin with, a stator is provided by fixing a stator winding on a stator core. The stator winding has a coil end projecting from one end face of the stator core. Subsequently, a lead wire is drawn out from the coil end radially outward thereof. A connecting terminal is fixedly mounted to a distal end of the lead wire. A terminal block is provided such that the terminal block is held at a position to be finally fixed relative to the stator. The lead wire is bent toward the terminal block. The connecting terminal is electrically connected to the terminal block. An insulator is coated on the lead wire and the coil end by impregnating the lead wire and the coil end with liquid insulating material.

If the incoming address is present in the database, the IDSS instructs protective equipment such as a firewall or router to allow the incoming message to pass to the web server despite any ongoing attack, thus allowing messages from customers or suppliers, for example, through. Otherwise, the IDSS checks a database of blocked addresses. When the incoming address is absent, the IDSS writes the address to the database of blocked addresses and instructs the protective equipment to block subsequent messages from the incoming address.

If the recognition confidence exceeds the threshold, the alphanumeric candidate is selected to represent the spoken input. Otherwise, present call data associated with the spoken input is determined. Call data may include automatic number identification (ANI) information, caller-ID information, and/or dialed number information service (DNIS) information. Information associated with the alphanumeric candidate and information associated with the present call data are correlated in order to select alphanumeric information that best represents the spoken input.

    Abstract: Retaining members are formed separately from a female connector housing and can be installed on the female connector housing. A sealing member is installed within the female connector housing prior to the installation of the retaining members. The sealing member includes protrusions having retaining portions, which protrusions are inserted into guide channels of the female connector housing without bending. Then, the retaining members are installed on the female connector housing, and two protrusions of the retaining members engage with the retaining portions from opposite sides, whereby the sealing member is retained against removal. When the sealing members are installed, the protrusions and retaining portions are not elastically deformed, and therefore resistance during installation is reduced, and the installation can be easily carried out.

    Abstract: The optical intensity of laser light from a laser diode of a laser scanning apparatus having a polygonal mirror is detected with a monitoring photodiode. The detected output is delivered to a first switching end of a selector. The optical intensity of laser light reflected from the polygonal mirror is detected with a photosensor and the detection output is delivered to a second switching end of the selector. The selector selects either one of the switching ends in accordance with the timing of a laser scan. The associated detection signal is fed to a comparator, where it is compared with a reference voltage to produce a comparison voltage, which in turn is fed to a laser drive circuit to control the emission output of the laser diode. Despite variation in the reflectance of laser light from each reflecting surface of the polygonal mirror, a constant optical intensity is obtained on the basis of the reference voltage.
