Abstract: The present invention is generally related to a computer architecture and process for evaluating and reporting on a user's competence in managing a simulation of a complex system modeled in a computer based testing and training system. The simulation may be called a “virtual system.” The method generates evaluation criteria responsive to a user profile, user choices in managing the virtual system, and events that occur during a simulation, in addition to the original state of the system. The method produces summary evaluations responsive to a plurality of characteristics of the simulated system. The implementation may be advantageously employed to evaluate a medical clinician's management of computer-simulated human patients, hereinafter called “virtual patients”. The present invention is also suitable for evaluation of user management of a plurality of complex systems including but not limited to animals, plants, cells, machines, and populations.

The prescription manager and portable medical/prescription statements may cover periods of time and can be provided by mail or electronically, and can be provided routinely or at the request of the individual. The prescription manager and portable medical/prescription statements contain medication (i.e., prescription) history and other pertinent health care information. The portable medical/prescription statement is a prescription manager pocket insert which can be carried to a doctor's appointment, trip to the pharmacy, or simply to have readily available in the event of a medical emergency.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for playing ball sports including softball. More particularly, the present invention relates to an apparatus for deterring the modification of ball bats. The bat comprises a barrel, a sweet spot, a transition area, a handle, and an end knob. Within the barrel are found supports used to reinforce the structural integrity of the bat to deter users from crushing the bat, causing the bat to fall outside the legal classification of bats allowed by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA). The supports are made out of a lightweight durable composition. The supports are held in place by a retaining member. Multiple supports and retaining members may be used.

Abstract: A device for the accumulation and release of products arranged in ranks within containers having sequentially loaded and discharged compartments, comprising an accumulation buffer with corresponding openings for receiving and delivering products and means for guiding the containers between the openings. The device uses pushers to push products out of the containers and onto at least one corresponding conveyor. Alternatively, where two independent pushers are utilized, the conveyor is repositionable at heights capable of receiving product sequentially displaced by each pusher by cycling the conveyor position to match the height of the currently actuated pusher. The discharge movement of each pusher is controlled so as to allow adequate time for the conveyor to reposition to the next sequentially actuated pusher so as to receive the products in a properly spaced arrangement onto a single conveyor.

The canopy (18) is mounted on at least one cantilever support (20) extending upwardly adjacent the second side of the main frame (12) whereby the first side is left open for adding additional conveyor units (U) to the conveyor train.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a high capacity gas filter system. The metal filter of the system includes a visible indicator which indicates when the filter is spent. The indicator is preferably a non-reactive glass tube with indicator material therein. The glass tube can be protected to maintain gas flow integrity in case the glass tube breaks.
