    Abstract: A method for performing work comprising the steps of providing an impellant consisting essentially of hydrogen peroxide of a strength at least 85 mass percent of total impellant, decomposing the impellant, wherein the decomposition releases energy, and, directing the released energy to perform work. A power system having an impellant consisting essentially of hydrogen peroxide of a strength at least 85 mass percent of total impellant is disclosed. The work may provide environmental conditioning, such as heat and potable water.
