Patent number: 8343286Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of washing ware, in particular in an automatic domestic or institutional ware washing machine, using a detergent composition containing a cationic starch. This eliminates the need for a surfactant in the rinse step. The cationic starch provides a layer of cationic starch on the ware so as to afford a sheeting action in an aqueous rinse step without any added rinse agent.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2009Date of Patent: January 1, 2013Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventors: Antonius Maria Neplenbroek, Julie Jessica Beau, Florian Romain Marie Raphanel

Patent number: 8261945Abstract: A soap dispenser has a base and a cover attached to the base by two sets of hinges. A container of soap is housed between the cover and the base and is attached to a liquid or foam dispensing pump. The pump is housed within a mounting device which surrounds the pump and has several diameters and at least one shoulder. In at least one embodiment, the mounting device has a flexible arm that biases the cover to a non-actuated position. The portion of the mounting device farthest from the pump's dispensing orifice and located closest to the soap container is flat in at least one embodiment on two opposite surfaces, which assists in orienting the pump correctly. As the portion is not circular, it must be oriented correctly. In at least one embodiment, as the cover is depressed, the pump actuates to dispense foam or soap.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2006Date of Patent: September 11, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventor: Brian D. Patent number: 8241427Abstract: A floor tool is provided, and includes a handle with first and second opposite ends through which a longitudinal axis of the handle extends, and a mop head coupled to the second end of the handle. In some embodiments, a fluid container is coupled to and carried by the handle at a location between the first and second ends of the handle. The fluid container can have a center of mass offset from the longitudinal axis. In some embodiments, a portion of the handle is located between the fluid container and the first end of the handle, and is offset from the longitudinal axis more than center of mass of the fluid reservoir. The floor tool can also have a valve coupled to the handle and having a gap into which a length of conduit extending from the fluid container can be laterally inserted. A valve-actuating trigger can be coupled to the handle for rotation, such that the trigger pivot point is closer to the second end of the handle than the terminal end of the trigger squeezed by a user.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2008Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventors: Charles A. Patent number: 8240514Abstract: The chemical distribution system (100) includes at least a first chamber that is fluidly coupled to a second chamber below it, which is in turn fluidly coupled to a manifold below it. In use, water and a powdered chemical are introduced into the first chamber. Liquid chemicals, however, are injected into the second chamber through multiple chemicals inlets in the second chamber. A pressure sensor fluidly coupled to the first chamber is used to accurately measure dosages of the liquid chemical. Once the accurate dosages have been determined, the powdered and/or liquid chemicals are distributed through one of multiple manifold outlets and along a single line (116(a), 116(b)) to one of multiple washing machines (102(a), 102(b)).Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2007Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventors: James W. Patent number: 8230888Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for delivering fluid or liquid to a container (e.g. a bottle), has a container holding device and a fluid delivery system delivering fluid to a dispensing outlet under control of an actuation member, which causes the fluid delivery system to deliver fluid in response to movement of the actuation member from its start position. A dispensing lock has a first position in which it blocks movement of the actuation member from its start position, and a second position in which it permits movement of the actuation member. A release member that releases the dispensing lock includes a movable release member which is moved by the container, during its insertion into the refill position, so as to release the dispensing lock by bringing the dispensing lock to said second position, thus enabling fluid to be delivered.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2006Date of Patent: July 31, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventors: Garry W. Crossdale, Barry Hague, Brian P. Onufryk

Patent number: 8201296Abstract: Floor treatment cleaning system (3) for a floor cleaning machine (1). The floor treatment cleaning system includes at least two treatment elements (7a, 7b) wherein each treatment element is equipped with cleaning means (11) and is eccentrically driven by driving means (15A) via at least two synchronized eccentric pivots (8), characterized in that the respective pivots revolve around their main rotation axes (13) in such a way that the at least two treatment elements perform opposite movements thereby transporting residues on the floor in a desired direction and balancing engine masses and friction. The treatment elements (7a, 7b) can be positioned in different ways: transversely relative to the moving direction of the machine (1) and parallel behind each other, transversely relative to the moving direction of the machine (1) and next to each other and in a V-shape or arcuate with the opening in the moving direction of the machine.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2005Date of Patent: June 19, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventor: Heinrich-Tito Mayer

Patent number: 8191593Abstract: Non-slipping wheel (1) comprising an elastomer layer (3) which covers at least the radially outer part of the wheel, characterized in that the elastomer layer has been provided with bubbles which are continuously torn open during use of the wheel thereby generating a suction effect. The bubbles can be provided by foaming the elastomer. The elastomer can be polyurethane, and the wheel can further comprise an inner core layer (2) of a different material which is elastic, e.g., rubber. The wheel is particularly useful for floor cleaning machines: due to their use on ground which is covered by a cleaning solution, the wheels face traction problems—on the other hand, the wheels should not leave additional residues or markings on the floor.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2006Date of Patent: June 5, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventor: Heinrich-Tito Mayer
