Patent number: 5736968Abstract: A computer based presentation system allows a presenter to view on a monitor associated with a computer an image prior to its display on a television monitor or projection system to an audience. The system includes a video frame buffer having an input coupled to a video port of the computer for receiving a video signal generated by the computer. The buffer captures and stores in memory a frame carried by the video signal. An output of the video buffer is connected to a video display adapter for continuously converting the stored image frame to a second video signal for transmission to a television monitor for display to an audience. A command to update the video frame buffer is generated by a hand-held remote and transmitted to a serial port of the computer through a photoelectric sensor housed with the video buffer and video display adapter. The computer signals the video buffer through the serial port to update the contents of its memory with the next image frame carried by the video signal.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1995Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Mind Path Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Alexander L. Patent number: 5568736Abstract: The invention comprises a non-restrictive, constant pressure refrigerant recycling and cooling unit that interrupts the normal refrigerant cycle to permit a lower temperature liquid to enter the expansion device, and thus provide a lower temperature, and therefore a lower pressure gas for delivery to the inlet side of the compressor, which acts to reduce the energy requirement and cost to operate the compressor. This reduction in pressure and temperature also results in lower operating costs and lower maintenance costs and utilizes less refrigerant quantity requirements.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1994Date of Patent: October 29, 1996Assignee: Apollo Environmental Systems Corp.Inventor: Jerry W. Patent number: 5429448Abstract: Provisional road sign barriers and permanent medians are formed based on the correlative, interconnectable arrangement of a number of equal modules, some male and others female, for connecting, which are made of adequate plastic, are hollow and equipped to enclose an electrical supply and corresponding internal lamps that will provide a correct view and real volume of the formed barrier. The modules include, in addition to a metallic reinforcement structure, some sheets that act as elements which absorb the impact of vehicles. The modules will be filled with bags of water, or with sand and/or concrete, as weights, to form a static barrier that carries out the function of signposting and beaconing for works on highways and similar places, and of protecting against the impact of vehicles.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1993Date of Patent: July 4, 1995Inventor: Angel G. Patent number: 5361517Abstract: The invention is a footwear protector comprised of a single piece of material of uniform thickness and width which, when in place, forms an open-toed design protector. The protector utilizes an opening at one end to allow the insertion of any front tassel or decoration of the protected footwear and to secure the protector to the front portion of the footwear. Velcro.RTM. fasteners are located at each end of the protector's length to further secure the protector. This fastening system allows the protector to be fitted to different size footwear, and facilitates quick and easy attachment and removal of the device. Additionally, the protector is constructed of a soft, nonabrasive fabric, allowing the protector also to be used as a footwear buffing and cleaning cloth when not secured to footwear.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1993Date of Patent: November 8, 1994Inventor: Robert Liener
