  • Patent number: 8256744
Abstract: A direct touch type metal diaphragm valve, wherein durability of the valve, that is to say, the ensured number of continuous open/close operations of the valve, is substantially increased under conditions that an appropriate flow rate coefficient Cv is maintained, and changes of the afore-mentioned Cv value over time are mitigated by means of restricting the deformation of the valve seat over time. The afore-mentioned metal diaphragm is formed in a round, reverse-dish shape by laminating a plural number of thin stainless steel plates and a thin Nickel.Cobalt alloy plate, and its center part is bulged upward, and the maximum valve stroke of the valve is regulated to be 55% to 70% of the distance of the maximum bulge height ?h of the afore-mentioned metal diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 8250988
Abstract: The invention relates to a subcaliber projectile, particularly for a dart projectile, having a resistance-stabilizing, conically designed guide mechanism having a frustum-shaped recess, wherein a guide cage has a substantially hollow cylindrical design in which a propulsion element is integrated therein on a rear side. To allow the propulsion element to be produced in a simple fashion and the guide cage to be lighter weight than comparable known drive cages, the propulsion element is designed substantially only as a disk-shaped metal plate extending transverse to the longitudinal axis of the guide cage, wherein the drive element is mounted on an edge in an annular groove-shaped recess of the inner wall of the guide cage, wherein the disk-shaped metal plate comprises a central through hole, the diameter of which is as large as possible, but smaller than the maximum diameter of the frustum-shaped recess of the guide mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8245767
Abstract: Heat transmission units are known wherein ribs for improving the cooling efficiency extend along the whole length of the flow path of the radiator. According to the invention, it is proposed, while keeping the constructional space at the same size, to provide a larger cooling surface in a first portion, which has a higher temperature gradient, and which is accomplished by a large number of ribs arranged therein, and to omit such ribs or to reduce their number in a region that has a lower temperature gradient, i.e. in a second portion. In this manner, the overall efficiency of such a heat transmission unit is improved.

  • Patent number: 8225999
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to devise an inexpensive method and device that allows predefined target tolerances of an automatic weapon (1) to be maintained even in the range of prevailing resonant cadences. This aim is achieved by modifying the actual cadence of the automatic weapon from shot to shot around a predefined cadence lying within the range of a resonant cadence so that the time interval between successively triggered shots is alternately shorter and longer than the calculated constant time interval between the individual triggered shots that is calculated for the predefined cadence and that corresponds to the constant time interval required to fire the automatic weapon at the predefined cadence. In this way, the automatic weapon is controlled to fire at a time averaged cadence that is equal to the desired predefined cadence while avoiding ever actually firing the automatic weapon, shot-by-shot, at the resonant cadence.
