Abstract: A light emitting assembly includes: a heat sink having a base wall and at least one mesa protruding from the base wall; and at least one light emitting package unit having at least one light emitting package bonded to the mesa so as to transfer heat generated from the light emitting package to the base wall through the mesa. A circuit board includes a substrate that is formed with at least one through-hole, and is provided with a conductive contact unit that is formed on the substrate. The heat sink is attached to the substrate such that the mesa protrudes from the base wall into and through the through-hole in the substrate so as to be bonded to the light emitting package.
Abstract: A distortion compensation circuit compensates for distortion generated by one or more non-linear elements such as a laser device and may include a primary signal path for carrying an input signal and one or more secondary signal paths for generating distortion. The distortion compensation circuit may also include one or more controllable phase inverters on at least one of the paths. For example, the secondary signal path may include a distortion generator to produce distortion products from the input signal and a signal controlled phase inverter that inverts the phase of the distortion products. The distortion generator and phase inverter may be combined as an invertible distortion generator. The phase inversion may be controlled in response to a phase inversion control signal generated based on one or more parameters such as temperature. The secondary signal path may also include separate distortion sub-paths to produce frequency independent distortion products and frequency dependent distortion products.

Abstract: A light source module and a display system comprising the light source module are provided. The light source system comprises a first light source module and a second light source module. The first light source module provides a light beam of a first color, and the second light source module provides a plurality of light beams, having colors different from the first color light beam. The light source system turns on the light beam of first color and the light beams with different colors according to a predetermined integrated timing, and transmits them to the light guiding system. The light guiding system guides the light beams provided by the light source system to the imaging system for imaging. The first light source module further comprises two light beams with the same color and switches in turn to function as one light beam. The switching is realized by using the mirror wheel.
Abstract: A device for retrieving animal feces including a handle portion and a scoop and/or rake portion having a surface. The scoop and/or rake portion contacts the feces for removal, and a portion of the surface of the scoop and/or rake portion includes a coating, wherein the coating exhibits a coefficient of friction (?) of less than or equal to 1.0 and a contact angle of 90° or greater.
Abstract: A pin setter applied to a bowling game machine in which a player rolling a ball toward a plurality of pins arranged in a standing manner on a lane thereby to knock down the plurality of pins. The pin setter that arranges the pins at predetermined positions includes a pin lifter that lifts the pin in a standing state up to the lane, a pin guide that keeps the pin lifted on the lane from falling down, and an evacuation mechanism that evacuates the pin guide from the lane.
Abstract: A wireless network arrangement includes a host device in communication with a wireless network module (e.g., an ultrawideband (UWB) module, etc.) through a universal serial bus (USB). A protocol is provided to support communication over the USB between the host and the module. In at least one embodiment, the host is able to offload network packet header processing functions to the wireless network module via the USB.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a near metallic glass based alloy wherein the alloy includes at least 40 atomic percent iron, greater than 10 atomic percent of at least one or more metalloids, and less than 50 atomic percent of at least two or more transition metals, wherein one of said transition metals is Mo said alloy exhibits a tensile strength of 2400 MPa or greater and an elongation of greater than 2%.

Abstract: A system and method for spectral loading unutilized channels of a partially loaded WDM system may be used to suppress spectral hole burning (SHB). Dummy tones may be loaded at different loading wavelengths within the band of system wavelengths such that the loading wavelengths are associated with a subset of unutilized channels in the WDM system. The loading wavelengths may be selected and spaced based on a distortion in the gain spectrum of the partially loaded WDM system such that the dummy tones alter the distortion to provide a desired gain spectrum.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for scalable anti-replay windowing. According to one exemplary embodiment, the method may include receiving at least one data packet having at least one new sequence number. The method may also include comparing the at least one new sequence number to an anti-replay window configured to prevent packet replay, the anti-replay window having at least one existing sequence number. The method may further include shifting the contents of the anti-replay window by varying the location of a starting index and an ending index. Of course, additional embodiments, variations and modifications are possible without departing from this embodiment.
Abstract: A panel module for a computer enclosure includes a main panel, a linkage member, a cover panel, and a resilient limiting member. The main panel has a cover region and an opening provided in the cover region. The linkage member is connected pivotally to the main and cover panels. The cover panel is movable relative to the main panel to be closed upon or flipped away from the cover region. The linkage member is disposed at a closed position when the cover panel is closed. The limiting member is interposed between the main panel and the linkage member to limit the linkage member to the closed position, and enables the linkage member to be automatically restored to the closed position when the cover panel is to be closed, thereby permitting easy and proper closing of the cover panel.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a saw including a sawhead pivotably connected to a base. The pivotable connection may define a pivot axis therethrough, wherein the pivot axis may be parallel to the horizontal plane. In addition, the sawhead may rotate around the pivot axis and may be axially displaceable along the pivot axis.

Abstract: Memory control techniques for dual channel lockstep configurations are disclosed. In accordance with one example embodiment, a memory controller issues two burst-length 4 DRAM commands to two double-data-rate (DDR) DRAM sub-channels behind a memory buffer (e.g., FB-DIMM or buffer-on-board). The two commands are in time-staggered lockstep. The time-stagger allows data coming back from the two back-side DDR sub-channels to flow naturally on the host channel without conflict. Multiple DIMMs can be used to obtain chip-fail ECC capabilities and to reclaim at least some of the lost performance imposed by the burst-length of 4 s typically associated with dual channel lockstep memory controllers. The techniques can be implemented, for instance, with a buffered memory solution such as fully buffered DIMM (FB-DIMM) or buffer-on-board configurations.
Abstract: A projection apparatus arranged such that the first light source, the second light source and the third light source provide the first colored light, the second colored light and the third colored light, respectively. The first digital micromirror device (DMD) modulates and reflects the first colored light, while the second DMD modulates and reflects the second and third colored lights guided by the first light guiding device. Subsequently, the second light guiding device guides the colored lights reflected from the first DMD and the second DMD to the projection lens.
