Abstract: The invention describes a velour needle-punched nonwoven material, which is produced by placing an optionally pre-strengthened nonwoven material on a brush-like stitch base and needling of the nonwoven on this stitch base. The velour needle-punched nonwoven material according to the invention is characterized in that the nonwoven material comprises a spun-bound nonwoven with filaments, wherein the filaments comprise multicomponent filaments with at least one component with a high melting point and at least one thermally activatable component with a low melting point. The velour needle-punched nonwoven material according to the invention not only has excellent mechanical properties, it is also particularly compatible with the environment and health and therefore suited for applications as a textile lining not only in the private field, but particularly in the public domain.
Abstract: A method for forming at least one micro-via on a substrate is disclosed. The method comprises drilling at least one hole in a substrate by using a first laser beam. The first laser beam has an energy distribution, which is more at edges of the first laser beam than at the center of the first laser beam. The method further comprises forming at least one blank pattern on a top surface of the substrate and around an outer periphery of the at least one hole by removing at least a portion of the substrate by using a second laser beam. At least one blank pattern of the plurality of blank pattern corresponds to pad of the at least one micro-via. Thereafter, the method comprises filling the plurality of blank patterns and the at least one micro-via with a conductive material to form at least micro-via.
Abstract: An oxygen detection method, includes: preparing a grid, an ion collector, and a filament in which an oxide are formed on a surface of metal; controlling a filament current flowing to the filament so that an emission current becomes constant; discharging thermionic electrons which are caused by heat generation by applying the filament current, and generating ions by ionizing a gas; capturing the ions with the ion collector; and detecting oxygen being present in a vacuum processing chamber by measuring a filament current value.
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for the production of a container, in particular a fuel tank of thermoplastic material, by extrusion blow molding, wherein during shaping of the container within a multi-part tool the container is provided with at least one connecting element passing through the wall thereof, wherein with at least a part of the connecting element as a lost shaping male die the wall of the container is displaced from one side into a tool placed on the oppositely side of the container wall and removed. The invention further concerns a fuel tank with at least one connecting element which is connected to the tank wall at least in region-wise manner by intimate joining of the materials involved.

Abstract: A multi-staged hinge assembly and a portable electrical device comprising the multi-staged hinge assembly are provided. The multi-staged hinge assembly utilizes a spindle with a non-circular cross-section and the relative movement resulting from the movable components disposed on the spindle, such that one of the body portions of the portable electrical device automatically tilts in an angle after the body portions slides with each other. The user could further adjust the angle to meet various use conditions.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing hollow bodies from thermoplastic material in which web- or strip-type preforms of plasticised plastics material are shaped in a multi-part tool which forms a mould nest, with two outer moulds and a central mould which perform opening and closing movements with respect to one another. The central mould is provided with at least one device for receiving and manipulating components to be fastened in the interior of the hollow body by means of a material and/or form-fitting joint. Prior to the fastening of the components to the inner wall of the hollow body to be produced, the components are heated by means of a radiant heating device. The radiant heating device is advantageously integrated in the central mould of the tool.

Abstract: An apparatus for performing a scan procedure according to an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) signal and a mobile station comprising the same are provided. The characteristic of the apparatus is that it comprises two FIT input buffers. In a first period of a downlink subframe, the first FFT input buffer is used for data transmission. In a second period of the downlink subframe, the second FFT input buffer is used for storing more than one OFDMA sample in advance for further processing. In a third period of an uplink subframe, the stored OFDMA samples can be used to generate a refined frame boundary and calculates a CINR value of each of a plurality of neighboring base stations. Therefore, the apparatus and the MS can perform the scan procedure without downgrading the network efficiency.
Abstract: An energy absorber for a vehicle includes an elongate member having lateral and longitudinal axes. The elongate member may include one or more channels which are oriented to have walls which extend in the general direction of the lateral axis. An upper surface of at least one of the channels may have an engagement feature that may be configured to engage a stationary member of a vehicle when an impact force brings the engagement feature into contact with the stationary member. The channels may be configured to deform and collapse to absorb at least some of the impact force.

Abstract: Encoders and scheduling methods for macroblock-based adaptive frame/filed (MBAFF) coding are provided. The encoder comprises a first processing engine and a second processing engine. The first processing engine executes a first encoding stage of the frame coding and field coding processes. Abstract: A hatch mechanism for releasably securing a hatch to a deck of a vessel may include a latching mechanism comprising a housing extending generally outwardly from a bottom surface of the hatch. The latching mechanism may also comprise a strong back disposed within a opening in the housing and extending generally parallel to the bottom surface of the hatch. Upon application of a pressurized fluid, an actuator may be configured to bias a wedge against the opening in the housing and the strong back such that the wedge urges the strong back towards the bottom surface of the hatch. A method of releasably securing the hatch to deck may comprise providing a source of a pressurized fluid and applying the pressurized fluid to a latching mechanism to releasably secure the hatch to the deck.
Abstract: Polarization multiplexing with different differential phase shift keying (DPSK) schemes generally uses DPSK modulated signals modulated using different DPSK modulation schemes and combined with orthogonal polarizations relative to each other. The different DPSK modulation schemes may use different DPSK phase shifts to represent data, such as a regular DPSK modulation scheme and a ?/2 DPSK modulation scheme. By using different DPSK modulation schemes to represent data on the orthogonally polarized signals, the DPSK demodulators may effectively separate the orthogonally polarized signals using the property of the DPSK receivers. To optimize performance, the DPSK modulated signals may also be bit-interleaved when combined with orthogonal polarization.
Abstract: A unified integer/Galois-Field 2m multiplier performs multiply operations for public-key systems such as Rivert, Shamir, Aldeman (RSA), Diffie-Hellman key exchange (DH) and Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem (ECC). The multiply operations may be performed on prime fields and different composite binary fields in independent multipliers in an interleaved fashion.

The prism module is defined with a first reflection mechanism and a second reflection mechanism. The DMD comprises a plurality of micro mirrors. After traveling into the prism module and being reflected by the first reflection mechanism, the first light beam is emitted onto the micro mirrors. The first light beam is adapted to be reflected onto the projection lens and images onto the screen while the micro mirrors are tilted at a first angle. After traveling into the prism module and being reflected by the second reflection mechanism, the second light beam is emitted onto the micro mirrors.

The TVP may include fibrous material and may be combined with a resin (binder) and a plasticizer and formed by a heating molding machine, such as an injection molding or extrusion operation.
