  • Patent number: 8032690
Abstract: A non-volatile memory device, and a method for accessing the non-volatile memory device are provided. The non-volatile memory device is connected to a host via a bus. The non-volatile memory device comprises an MCU. By independently processing the particular commands using only the auxiliary circuit, the MCU can cease to operate, thus saving power. By setting the bus into power saving mode when the non-volatile memory device is busy, the host and the non-volatile memory device would not communicate mutually, thus, saving power.

  • Patent number: 8013291
Abstract: A method of controlling a mass spectrometer comprises the steps of: supplying a current to a cathode electrode of an ion source having the cathode electrode and an anode electrode, and ionizing a molecules of a gas to be measured; selecting ions generated in the ion source by mass-to-charge ratio; and detecting an ion current value of the selected ions. When a partial pressure of the gas to be measured is measured based on a detection result of the ion current value, a cathode current is supplied to the cathode electrode such that an emission current flowing between the cathode electrode and the anode electrode becomes constant. When a partial pressure of the gas to be measured is not measured, a constant current having a current value less than that of the cathode current is supplied to the cathode electrode.

  • Patent number: 8011788
Abstract: An illumination system adapted for a projection apparatus is provided. The illumination system comprises a cooling air guiding apparatus, a lamp, and a cooling fan. The cooling air guiding apparatus comprises an air intake device and an adjustment device, while the adjustment device comprises an air-flow adjustment element and an air-flow guiding element. The cooling fan generates a cooling air, which flows from the exterior through the air intake device into the air-flow adjustment element. The air-flow guiding element guides the cooling air in the air-flow adjustment element out of an air-flow adjustment hole towards a specific direction. Since the adjustment device may move relatively to the air intake device, the air-flow adjustment hole is adapted to move from the first position substantially aligned with the opening to the second position constituting a substantial displacement with respect to the opening. The cooling air can cool the lamp no matter what angle the projection apparatus is disposed.
