  • Patent number: 4213192
Abstract: An electron beam storage device is disclosed. A beam impinges on a target. The target stores data and it can be read as needed. The target is made of multiple layers, from the top, a first layer of thin conductive metal, and a semiconductor joined to it to define a Schottky diode. The beam liberates ionized pairs in the semiconductor. This is joined to an adjacent layer of dielectric and there is another layer of dielectric. The charge in the semiconductor causes tunneling across the first dielectric into the second where it is held. A bottom layer of metal serves as a gate and terminal for bias voltages. The beam is directed to selected X-Y locations to store data, and read in the same manner.

  • Patent number: 4204322
Abstract: Apparatus for securing a denture plate in position is disclosed. The illustrated and preferred embodiment incorporates a vacuum pump which has the exterior form and shape of a tooth embedded in a denture plate. The tooth incorporates a reciprocally operated pump. The pump pulls air from an exposed, lower indention or chamber. This chamber is connected via multiple passages to similar chambers around the denture, all of the chambers collectively open to the gum of the wearer. As air is evacuated from the chambers, a vacuum is formed. The vacuum increases holding power of the denture against the gum.

  • Patent number: 4197951
Abstract: A mounting rack for guns is disclosed. In the illustrated two embodiments, the first depicts a plaque which is adapted to be fastened to the wall for display of the gun. The plaque incorporates a transverse angled slot, and an elongate bar is positioned in the slot. The first slot is transverse and angled with respect to the plaque. A second undercut slot is formed in the placque which accepts an insert having a protruding lip to lock in the undercut and thereby lock the bar in place. The bar carries a protruding rod suitable for insertion through the trigger guard of a rifle or shotgun and a second rod extends from the bar parallel to the first and the two together support a weapon on them. The alternate embodiment utilizes first and second plaque members which are suitably fastened together with the back face of the first plaque partially, centrally drilled to form an indentation and pie shaped, diverging, widening grooves extend from the circular indentation to the edge.

  • Patent number: 4190073
Abstract: This apparatus disclosed in its preferred form is a choke for controlling the flow of drilling mud which is highly abrasive. The abrasive drilling mud is introduced through a lateral port and an elongate tubular body. In the tubular body, a fluid actuated, double acting piston is forced to a choke control position. The piston has appended to it a centralized tubular extension which receives a sleeve of wear resistant material. The sleeve is positioned in a circular chamber communicated to the lateral port where the drilling mud is introduced. It travels toward a seat downstream of the body. The seat is formed of hardened material. The downstream outlet of the body is additionally lined with a wear resistent sleeve.
