  • Patent number: 6102666
Abstract: A compressor apparatus includes a compressor housing having a mating surface with at least one electrical terminal associated therewith. An electrical connector assembly includes a hermetically sealed body having an axial face configured to lie adjacent to the mating surface of the compressor housing. A first electrical connector is molded substantially within the body. The first electrical connector is for connection with a source of electrical power. The first electrical connector is in communication with the axial face of the body. The first electrical connector is configured for connection to the at least one compressor terminal. A second electrical connector is substantially molded within the body. The second electrical connector is in communication with the axial face of the body. A thermal cutoff device is electrically and removably connected to the second electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 6076676
Abstract: A cake package for packaging large and heavy cakes is shown with a cake base, a cake cover, two slits cut into the bottom side of the cake base along the corrugation of the board, and at least two flexible, reusable spring loaded clips. To assemble the present invention, a cake is first mounted to the cake base in the conventional manner. Then, the cake cover is attached to the cake base by using food grade glue or any other conventional method. Finally, the clips are mounted into place by securing the upper part of the clips to the cake cover and by securing the lower part of the clips into the slits located at the bottom of the cake cover. The clips stay in place due to the rigidity of their material.

  • Patent number: 6044272
Abstract: A system and method for improved mobile assisted handoff in a digital cellular communication system that gives the mobile station the ability to synchronize to candidate base station transmissions in order to read the transmitted digital voice color code (DVCC) of the candidate station. This process is performed during the idle period between two designated time slots in a TDMA frame. The invention is an enhancement to the existing mobile assisted handoff procedures described in the existing IS-136 standard. The present invention improves on the IS-136 standard's use of received signal strength measurements in that it allows the mobile station to acquire and report information regarding the digital verification color code (DVCC) of the candidate base station channels. Since the DVCC uniquely identifies the cell site to which a channel belongs, it is used to distinguish the candidate base station channel from its co-channel interferers, allowing the network to make a more informed handoff decision.

  • Patent number: 5987640
Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel visor and eyeshield combination. This visor and eyeshield combination allows the wearer to adjust the eyeshield by flipping the eyeshield up to a rest position or down to an in-use position, by adjusting the distance of the eyeshield downward from the visor, by adjusting the distance of the eyeshield from to the wearer's face in order to accommodate eyeglasses and/or facial contours, and, in the preferred embodiment, by allowing the eyeshield to be flipped toward the wearer's face for a wraparound-look.
