  • Patent number: 7070036
Abstract: A power takeoff having an output shaft, an output gear and a connect-disconnect clutch mechanism for connecting the output gear to the output shaft, the clutch mechanism, including a clutch hub, a disc stack slidably mounted between the output gear and the clutch hub and a piston for compressing the disc stack-thereby to bring the output shaft into rotatable engagement with the transmission of an engine; in which the clutch hub is normally biased by a spring away from the piston but is confined by snap rings to limit the hub's movement along the output shaft in such a manner so that substantially no operational force is placed on the snap rings during compression of the disc stack.

  • Patent number: 6982995
Abstract: A desynchronizer for desynchronizing one or multiple channels of SONET/SDH data signals, which includes a first in first out (FIFO) buffer having an input coupled to said data signals and an output for outputting asynchronous data obtained from one or more of said SONET/SDH data channels. An arithmetic unit coupled to the FIFO performs all operations required for single or multi-channel desynchronization. An endless phase modulator is coupled to the arithmetic unit and to the FIFO and is operative, in response to input from the arithmetic unit, to produce a single output desynchronized clock or multiple output desynchronized clocks.

  • Patent number: 6932128
Abstract: A lightweight carbon fiber air/gas supply vessel storing high pressure air/gas. The air/gas supply vessel output is controlled by an adjustable pressure reduction valve which varies output pressure from very high to low pressure levels. An alternative multi-valve system uses a first pressure reduction valve to reduce output pressure from the very high levels in the air/gas supply vessel to an intermediate pressure level, and a second pressure reduction valve that reduces the air/gas pressure from the intermediate level to a fine tunable low pressure level. In both embodiments, the output of the last pressure reduction valve used is connected to a high pressure cable which in turn uses a standard universal fitting which can be coupled to most pneumatically powered equipment. Additional high pressure reservoir vessels can be used to replenish the lightweight air/gas supply vessel when its supply of air/gas is depleted.

  • Patent number: 6883813
Abstract: An auxiliary lift axle suspension of the parallelogram type is constructed for heavy duty operation by providing longitudinal control arms at the corners of a parallelogram configuration extending between the axle connecting member and the frame hanger bracket. A lift bellows is then located between two opposing rigidity providing, U-shaped members (called paddles or stabilizer members) located within the three dimensional parallelogram space, wherein the legs of one U-shaped member are connected to the axle connecting member and the legs of the opposing U-shaped member are connected to the hanger bracket, such that the lift bellows is located between the bases of the opposing paddles and expands bi-directionally to lift the wheels of the suspension from the road surface.
