Abstract: Refrigerant freezeout is prevented, and temperature is controlled, by the use of a controlled bypass flow that causes a warming of the lowest temperature refrigerant in a refrigeration system that achieves very low temperatures by using a mixture of refrigerants comprising at least two refrigerants with boiling points that differ by at least 50° C. This control capability enables reliable operation of the very low temperature system.

Abstract: A shock absorbable handlebar riser assembly is provided for use with a recreational vehicle, such as a snowmobile or ATV. The shock absorbable handlebar riser assembly includes a pair of riser arms and a shock absorbable member. The riser arms are rotatably coupled between a steering shaft and handlebars. The shock absorbable member is fixedly coupled between the steering shaft and the handlebars.
Abstract: Determining a minimum condition and a maximum condition of an assembly of parts includes determining a subset of the assembly of parts, constructing a tolerance chain comprised of tolerance features associated with the parts and that have tolerances that can assume maximum and minimum values, setting at least one tolerance to a minimum value or a maximum value, and calculating the minimum condition and the maximum condition of the assembly based on the setting of the tolerance.
Abstract: The present invention provides an automated configuration system and method for electronics enclosures. The system receives user requirements generates a configuration including placement schedule, power usage schedules and heat flow schedules. Included as output of the system is a bill of materials, an equipment layout drawing and pricing based on predetermined material and labor pricing. Methods for generating a configuration are described that include iteratively repeating combinations of the steps of generating design rules, deriving a placement schedule, mapping the distribution of power usage within the enclosure and producing a heat flow analysis. Processes used to generate the configuration can be controlled by design rules derived from user requirements.
Abstract: A tablet splitter includes a tablet bed having a bed body with a tablet holding structure for holding a tablet. A base is included having a base side wall with an outer perimeter. The side wall surrounds a recess extending along a longitudinal axis. The recess is shaped for receiving and retaining the bed body of the tablet bed. A cap having a cap side wall engages and slides over the outer perimeter of the base side wall along the longitudinal axis. The cap has an interior with a first splitting member positioned therein for engaging and splitting tablets held by the tablet bed.
Abstract: A security subsystem is provided with at least a first security engine, a first set of registers and a control portion to perform a first security operation for each of a first number of data blocks of each of a first number of data segments of a first data object. In one embodiment, the security subsystem is provided with two security engines and two sets of registers to respectively perform the first security operation and a second security operation for the first data object and a similarly constituted second data object. In one embodiment, the first and second security operations are DES and hashing operations. In one embodiment, the multi-method security subsystem is embodied in a multi-service system-on-chip.
Abstract: This invention provides an automated system for the processing of data packets, composed of personal identifiers and personal data, such that the personally identifiable data sent by one party may be considered anonymous once received by a second party. The invention uses secret sharing techniques to facilitate distributed key management of the mapping functions and strong authentication to allow the system to be operated remotely.
Abstract: The present disclosed system is directed toward a communication and management system that dynamically targets network devices for content deployment, such as application programs, device drivers, configuration files, and registry subhives. Moreover, the present system targets users of network devices for promotions, such as advertisements offered by Internet e-commerce sites. Promotions are generally icons or graphic images with links to host web servers overlaying a video display, but also includes audio and video clips or data streams. Network devices and their users are targeted through user profiles. User profiles are created when network devices register with the system server and are continually updated with information provided by user activity and event logs that are periodically uploaded from each device.

Abstract: Computer method and apparatus for managing process and plant engineering data for chemical or other engineering processes across applications. The method and apparatus include a respective class view for each of multiple software applications, a composite class view, a conceptual data model and a resulting consolidated multi-tier data model. The multi-tier data model enables sharing of engineering and other data from the multiple software applications with other process and plant engineering applications and programs. An amalgamator synthesizes the class views, composite views and conceptual data model into the multi-tier data model. In forming the multi-tier data model, there is a one-to-one mapping between an attribute in the class view and composite class view, and a one-to-one mapping between an attribute in the composite class view and a data path in the conceptual data model to corresponding software applications from which the attribute originated.

Abstract: The present invention may be used for determining a topology of a network in the presence of network address translation. From an active client behind a translating device, communications are initiated that effect the network address translation. The communications are monitored beyond the translating device to infer partitioning of servers into equivalence sets relative to the network topology induced by the network address translation. Active clients behind the translating device may include a respective actual sending address in a message sent to a server beyond the translating device. The server beyond the translating device distinguishes between communications affected by and not affected by network address translation, which may include comparing an apparent source address of a message against an actual address provided in the message by the active client behind the translation device. The external server may also distinguish between active and passive client messages.
