Abstract: A single switch is utilized within a common ground line to control the current flow through a plurality of loads, whereby power to all of these loads may be interrupted by opening the system ground return so that power can be supplied to a particular component of the circuit, a microprocessor, to the exclusion of all remaining components by the operation of a single switch.

Abstract: A frequency matched signal conduit apparatus wherein a micro-strip feed fabricated onto a material consistent with long vacuum life applications, such as ceramic or other crystalline materials, is used with a vacuum vessel signal interconnect, electrically connected to the micro-strip feed, comprising thermally resistive, electrically conductive material that provides high thermal isolation and low signal loss, for electrically connecting the micro-strip feed network to a device to be cooled.
Abstract: A cover assembly for a sewer vent pipe having a dome-shaped cap member with a plurality of brackets affixed to the inner surface thereof and extending to surfaces in a common plane for supporting the cap upon the open, upper end of the sewer pipe. A circular support plate is fixedly attached to the surfaces of the brackets and has a central opening for loose passage of a screw a first plurality of additional openings having centers lying on a circle concentrically surrounding the central opening, and a second plurality of additional openings. The screw is threadedly engaged with a tapped opening in a spreader plate. A plurality of lock arms extend through corresponding ones of said first plurality of additional openings. Each lock arm has an edge engaged in a notch in the periphery of the spreader plate, inhibiting rotation thereof.
Abstract: A folding knife of the type wherein the blade may be moved between open and closed positions with the hand holding the knife. A blade is connected by a fixed pivot pin to a casing having the usual two handle or cover pieces providing a casing with a space for receiving the blade in the closed position. A substantially V-shaped slot extends through one of the cover pieces in close proximity and partially surrounding relation to the pivot pin. In addition to a circular opening for the pivot pin, the blade tang includes a linearly elongated, through slot communicating at one end with the circular opening. An actuating member, having integral head and stem portions, extends through the V-shaped slot in the cover piece and slidingly engages the slot in the blade tang, and into a blind V-slot in the inwardly facing surface of the other cover piece.
Abstract: A system for collecting sawdust generated by a woodworking implement such as a table saw includes a funnel for directing sawdust from the saw to one end of a first hose, the other end of which communicates with a box-like structure having side and top walls and an open lower end. The interior of the box is divided into first and second compartments by a first portion of a baffle having edge portions positioned in grooves in opposing surfaces of two of the side walls of the box, the other two side walls having openings through which the other end of the first hose and one end of a second hose communicate with the first and second compartments, respectively. The box is affixed to the lid of a container in which the sawdust is collected. The open lower end of the box communicates with the interior of the container through an opening in the lid. The box is affixed to the lid by fasteners extending through strips surrounding the lid opening and through the lid, into the lower edges of the box side walls.
Abstract: An assembly for clamping and retaining a cable in attached relation to a utility pole. The assembly generally includes a block portion and clamping member pivotally and slidably connected thereto. The block member includes a rear end having a bored hole formed therein, a recessed portion formed in its upwardly facing surface, and a pair of spaced apart tongues vertically spaced from the recessed portion. The clamping member includes a body portion and a pair of spaced apart forks extending downwardly therefrom which are movable between engaged and disengaged relation to the recessed portion. A pivot pin passes through the body of the clamping member and the tongues of the block member. The hole formed through the clamping member's body is oval in shape so as to permit not only pivotal movement thereof with respect to the block member, but also sliding movement. The forks and tongues are shaped so as to receive and clamp a cable thereinbetween.
Abstract: A two piece improved stump grinding tooth comprising a one piece cutting tooth having a hardened cutting bit, preferably made of tungsten carbide, or another material having hardness properties similar thereto, fixedly attached to the body portion of the tooth through brazing or other attachment process. The tooth body and tip are positioned at predetermined angles to improve the cutting characteristics of the tooth as it engages and removes material from a stump, and are held in the proper cutting position on the grinding wheel by a pair of mounting blocks through which the tooth body is secured to the grinding wheel.
Abstract: A housing for a telephonic electronic component, such as a telephone headset amplifier, adapted to be positioned in supporting relation beneath a standard, desktop telephone. The housing generally includes a base unit that sits flush on a desktop, and an upper unit that is positioned in covering relation to the base unit, with an enclosed cavity being defined between the base and upper units. The upper unit includes an inclined, upwardly facing surface on which a telephone may be positioned, and a control panel extending across the entire width of the unit's leading edge. The control panel extends upwardly and outwardly from the upwardly facing surface, thereby defining a lip across the interface between the surface and control panel. The lip serves as an abutment which prevents the telephone from sliding off of the unit.
