  • Patent number: 3966415
Abstract: An aerobic-anaerobic composting device and method of composting organic waste materials. The composting device disclosed is a free-standing rotatable wheel which has an open mesh material on its exterior sides and ends. After the organic waste material is placed in the wheel, a removable cover is placed over the open mesh material on the sides of the wheel and the wheel is rotated periodically to mix and aerate the contents with a tumbling action. The cover retains the material in the wheel and also protects it from the weather. Fertilizers or other chemicals of high nitrogen content may be added to the waste material in the wheel to promote its decomposition. After the composting has been completed, the cover is removed and the composted material is discharged by rotating the wheel. For anaerobic treatment, the wheel is not rotated and a second cover is placed over the material in the wheel and the ends of the wheel are closed to restrict the flow of air.

  • Patent number: 3950066
Abstract: The present invention provides a covered receptacle for a wiring device such as a lamp socket or the like which is mounted on a panel with a snap-in mounting. The snap-in mounting is releasable from engagement with the panel from within the receptacle when the cover is removed. Removal of the cover permits removal of the receptacle from the panel and provides access to the wiring device for repair or replacement as required. When in use, the cover encloses and prevents liquid or vapors from contacting the mounting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 3945702
Abstract: The present invention relates to a twist-type electrical connector having an improved interlock. In the connector, a plug and a receptacle are rotated angularly relative to each other to bring electrical contacts into engagement and to prevent accidental separation of the plug and receptacle. Entrance slots in the receptacle receive the male blades and carry detents which engage with a rear edge of at least one of the male blades and hold the blade in its seated or rotated position. The detents also provide an indication as to when proper connections have been established and also, prevent accidental counterrotation of the contacts.
