Abstract: A burner for fuel in pellet or granular form in which the fuel has a high ash content, for example grass or hay pellets in which the ash content is 5% or more. The burner has a combustion chamber with a grate at its lower end, into which fuel and air are fed, the combustion chamber having a hot gas outlet for exhausting combustion gases. The grate is provided with a rotary member having upstanding vanes which is adapted to continually move ash or clinker on the grate through outlet apertures spaced around the grate. The grate is a generally planar, horizontal surface which is imperforate apart from the outlet apertures; air inlet ports are arranged in a circumferential wall surrounding the grate.

At least a web member is disposed between the top chords and the bottom chord such that, in a first state of operation, the at least a web member is capable of transmitting at least one of a tension force and a compression force between the top chords and the bottom chord. The roof truss further comprises at least an expandable interface for expandable interfacing at least one of the at least a web member with one of the chords for enabling, in a second state of operation, expansion of the distance A to an extent that uplift of the bottom chord is substantially reduced.
Abstract: Apparatus for suspending a device such as the end of a depending air brake hose from a railcar. A flexible strap of a synthetic resin such as moldable polyurethane is suspended from the railcar body, for example, by attachment to an apertured fitting on the railcar coupler. Elongated resilient wire clips are provided to attach the free end of the air hose. The wire clips are generally configured with a latching end including interlocking end portions for connection to the strap through a selected attachment aperture, a pair of flexibly resilient, elongated manually compressible elongated arms extending away from the latching end portions and a return portion joining the arms. The clip is further provided with a retainer operative when the arms are interlocked for maintaining the attachment aperture fitting within the confines of the return portion and out of position in which loading of the clip is exerted laterally of the clip arms.
Abstract: For producing corrosion resistant yellow passivate layers on zinc and zinc alloy surfaces, an aqueous reaction solution is utilized that contains trivalent chromium ions, at least one acid as well as at least one heteroaromatic compound selected from the group comprising nicotinic acid, the salts and derivatives thereof.
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and articles of manufacture for file integrity and baseline maintenance on a computer system or systems are shown. A file integrity check is made of files on a system by hashing the files and comparing the hash to a stored hash of the files. If the comparison is false, the system requests a copy of the file from a server, which may be unknown or untrusted. The system then compares the received file to the stored hash. If the comparison is true, the copy of the file will be installed on the system. If false, the system repeats the request.
Abstract: The present invention comprises low carbohydrate, functional-like foods and systems incorporating same. Various embodiments utilizing minimally nutritive sugar substitutes, as well as konjac glucomannan, are disclosed. Methods for weight loss are also disclosed.
Abstract: A ladder constructed for reaching an elevated surface or object and having a bow-shaped configuration so that the reach may extend further from the base on which the footing of the ladder rests, the ladder being configured to reach areas such as the roof of a vehicle.
Abstract: A device for supporting a musical instrument such as a guitar, on a stand, having, a first engagement mechanism adapted to engage with and support the musical instrument, a first strap adapted to releaseably engage with the musical instrument and in engagement with the first engagement mechanism, and a mechanism for securely and releasably engaging the first engagement mechanism to the stand.
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and articles of manufacture are disclosed for analyzing code. A valuation component, which provides a value for analyzed code is comprised of a tokenization component, hashing component and numerical valuation component. As code is transferred through the components, a numerical value for the code is generated. The valuation may occur through hashing, probability analysis and comparison against a proscribed code indicator.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for identifying, authenticating and securing code through proscribed code detection and deletion are shown. The preferred embodiments provide for scanning code to determine the presence of proscribed code and then transmitting the code to a file reconstructor upon the detection of proscribed code. At the file reconstructor, templates of the specific document type are used to provide the document file structure, and so delete with precision the proscribed code from the original code.
Abstract: A method for texture quantification is provided. Data indicative of a complex-valued local spatial frequency distribution in space-frequency domain are determined by processing a multi-dimensional image data set based on a Stockwell transform with a phase term corresponding to spatial locations of respective frequency components being expressed in terms of radial distance and angle of orientation. The complex-valued local spatial frequency distribution is indicative of a feature of the object. Data indicative of a low frequency energy distribution are determined by filtering the data indicative of a complex-valued local spatial frequency distribution using a band-pass filter having a predetermined low frequency energy bandwidth.

Abstract: Light therapy in the visible spectral region, for which radiation sources emitting UV radiation are provided, uses fluorescent films that age during operation such that the intensity of the light irradiated by the fluorescent films gradually decreases. In order to solve this problem, the invention relates to a radiation converter located in a treatment device and comprising a fluorescent layer (2) for emitting the visible light. Said radiation converter comprises a housing (1) that can be penetrated by radiation emitted by the radiation source (11). The housing (1) comprises a front wall (3) consisting of a UV-permeable material and a rear wall (4) consisting of a UV-impermeable material, on the side of the housing (1) opposing the front wall (3). A liquid chamber (5) is formed between the front wall (3) and the rear wall (4), and the fluorescent layer (2) is arranged between the front wall (3) and the rear wall (4).
