  • Patent number: 7081744
Abstract: The apparatus can continuously determine the location at which a cable is buried. Location data of a measurement standard position is acquired by RTK-GPS. The azimuth of the moving direction of the apparatus is calculated using the location data. Electromagnetic waves from a metallic wire are received by two electromagnetic signal receiving sections whose locations in the horizontal plane are different from each other, and distances from the measurement standard position to a cable in a measurement base line direction and in the vertical downward direction are calculated using the received electromagnetic signals. The depth of the cable is calculated using the distance in the vertical downward direction. The plane location data of the cable is calculated using the azimuth of the moving direction, the location data of the measurement standard position, and the distance in the measurement base line direction.

  • Patent number: 7075661
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for introducing a plurality of optical markers to a field of view, capturing a two-dimensional image of said field of view on an image plate comprising a pixel array, determining a set of marker origin offset values and using said offset values to establish a set of orientation values describing the relationship between the field of view and the image plate are disclosed. These orientation values are used to relate the area of image captured by each pixel in the image plate to the real world. By applying projective geometry, vector analysis and trigonometrical surveys an image analysis is conducted to establish a three-dimensional positional data set describing the three-dimensional position of regions of reflectivity in the captured two-dimensional image. From this data set a three-dimensional model of the field of view can be reconstructed.

  • Patent number: 6834443
Abstract: A grain dryer control system uses the grain dryer discharge temperature to account for moisture reduction in the grain as it cools after discharge from the dryer. The control system includes moisture and temperature sensors and a means to control the discharge of grain from the grain dryer. Given a grain discharge temperature, a control temperature and a moisture reduction factor as a function of temperature, the control system calculates an expected moisture reduction in the grain as the grain cools. Grain is discharged from the dryer when the target moisture content after cooling added to the expected moisture reduction in the grain as the grain cools meets the measured grain moisture content in the dryer.

  • Patent number: 6770238
Abstract: The method and the device are used for blow forming containers of a thermoplastic material. The preforms that are used are first temperature treated and then shaped into containers in the area of at least one blow station. Moulds to define the container shape are held by mould supports. At least two preforms are simultaneously shaped into containers within each blow station. Positioning of the preforms is done such that the preforms assume a positioning relative to one another when entering the blow station that differs from the positioning during the blow forming process. Spacing of the preforms relative to one another is changed during transport between entry into the blow station and blow positioning. In addition to this first change in spacing, a second change in spacing between adjacent preforms is performed relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 6707991
Abstract: The image shake preventing apparatus can optimally correct image shake according to an image-taking environment and so on, in which a parameter can be changed for a phase correction circuit which corrects a phase shift of an output signal of an angular velocity sensor for detecting vibration of a camera, and a predetermined parameter can be changed which is used for arithmetic processing when angle information is obtained from the output signal of the angular velocity sensor, so that a frequency range where image shake can be effectively corrected for vibration can be changed. An all-frequency mode, a low-frequency mode, and a high-frequency mode can be selected by a mode setting device. A microcomputer sets a parameter corresponding to a selected mode, so that image shake is effectively corrected at 1 to 10 Hz in the all-frequency mode, image shake is usefully corrected at 0.
