  • Patent number: 8345757
Abstract: In one embodiment, the method includes selecting the list0 motion vector of the co-located image block for the bi-predictive image block as a motion vector for deriving motion vectors of the bi-predictive image block regardless of whether the co-located block includes a list1 motion vector. The selected motion vector of the co-located block in the reference picture is scaled based on a temporal distance between a current picture and the reference picture. The current picture includes the bi-predictive block. The motion vector of the bi-predictive block is derived based on the scaled motion vector of the co-located block.

  • Patent number: 8345067
Abstract: A volume of a patient can be mapped with a system operable to identify a plurality of locations and save a plurality of locations of a mapping instrument. The mapping instrument can include one or more electrodes that can sense a voltage that can be correlated to a three dimensional location of the electrode at the time of the sensing or measurement. Therefore, a map of a volume can be determined based upon the sensing of the plurality of points without the use of other imaging devices. An implantable medical device can then be navigated relative to the mapping data.

  • Patent number: 8343851
Abstract: A wafer temporary bonding method using silicon direct bonding (SDB) may include preparing a carrier wafer and a device wafer, adjusting roughness of a surface of the carrier wafer, and combining the carrier wafer and the device wafer using the SDB. Because the method uses SDB, instead of an adhesive layer, for a temporary bonding process, a module or process to generate and remove an adhesive is unnecessary. Also, a defect in a subsequent process, for example, a back-grinding process, due to irregularity of the adhesive may be prevented.

  • Patent number: 8347209
Abstract: According to the present invention, when a style relating to a dimension of all elements included in a subtree of a structured document is set in a relative unit, all these elements can be displayed in the same style. The user terminal 100 allocates a drawing area to each key when drawing each key configuring a key string of a tree structure, determines a root of a subtree to which a specific key belongs when a style whose format relating to dimension is expressed in the relative unit is set to the key, and converts the style expressed in the relative unit into an absolute unit with the drawing area allocated to the root of the subtree as reference and draws the key according to style expressed in the absolute unit.

  • Patent number: 8344486
Abstract: In a COF of an embodiment of the present invention, the smaller distance to edges of a heat-releasing member an area of the heat-releasing member has, the larger openings the area has. Accordingly, a volume per area (an area per length) of the heat-releasing member decreases toward the edges. The arrangement improves flexibility of the COF. This prevents a stress caused by bending the COF from concentrating at the edges. This makes it possible to prevent a line on an insulating film from being broken. Also, it becomes possible to prevent an anisotropic conductive resin from coming off which is used to bond the COF with a display panel in providing the COF in a display apparatus.

The nitride semiconductor laser chip (nitride semiconductor chip) has an n-type GaN substrate having as a principal growth plane a plane having an off-angle in the a-axis direction relative to the m plane, and a nitride semiconductor layer formed on the principal growth plane of the n-type GaN substrate. The n-type GaN substrate includes a depressed portion (carved region), which is carved from the principal growth plane in the thickness direction, and an uncarved region, which is a region not carved. The nitride semiconductor layer formed on the n-type GaN substrate has a gradient thickness region whose thickness decreases in a gradient fashion toward the depressed portion (carved region) and an emission portion formation region whose thickness varies very little. In the emission portion formation region 6, a ridge portion is formed.
