  • Patent number: 4013295
Abstract: A portable golf ball teeing and golf ball retrieving apparatus for use with a golf ball, tee and golf club handle. The apparatus is comprised of a pair of golf ball and tee gripping members which have resiliently biased latching elements secured to the gripping members to hold the gripping members in either a golf ball and tee gripping position or in a release position. A gripping and position control unit mechanically is coupled to the gripping members so that initial downward pressure on the gripping and position control unit allows the ball and tee to be positioned with the tee in the ground and the ball positioned thereupon. The application of further downward pressure on the gripping and position control unit causes the gripping members to release the ball and tee. In the event that a ball is being retrieved, the gripping members are in a released position and the apparatus is placed with the gripping members adjacent the ball with a portion of the apparatus in contact with the ball.

  • Patent number: 3968775
Abstract: A fuel system for an internal combustion engine of the piston type vaporizes a liquid fuel and water and mixes the resulting gaseous fuel and water vapor with air in a metering valve which communicates with the internal combustion engine. Heat from a separate source and from the internal combustion engine is used in the vaporization of the fuel and water. The gaseous state of the fuel represents molecules at the greatest degree of separation from each other providing the greatest opportunity for contact of the reacting species in the gaseous condition as chemical reactions occur only between particles at the atomic or molecular level and it is necessary for the reacting species to be in actual contact at the time of reaction. The fuel system therefore enables complete combustion and the elimination of the atmospheric pollutants common in the operation of internal combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 3953055
Abstract: The hitch assembly of the invention is comprised of a horizontal member adapted to be secured to a tongue of the object to be drawn or pulled. The horizontal member has first and second spaced apart downwardly projecting elements. The first element has a cross-section suitable for engaging an opening in a drawbar of the tractor or object and the first element has a length less than the second element. A latching element is pivotally secured to the second element in an end region of the second element. The latching element has an upwardly extending arm having a portion extending transverse to the horizontal member. In addition, the latching element has a length such that the transverse portion is held by the force of gravity against the end region of the first element.
