Abstract: A cooling container assembly including a cooling tub resting on a supporting base. The cooling tub has a central drain opening with a hose depending therefrom and passing through an opening in the top surface of the supporting base and extending into a drain receptacle in the supporting base; the latter having a doored opening through which the drain receptacle can be inserted and removed.
Abstract: A universal hinge with a base member having a smooth semi spherical upper surface and a lower mounting surface and a vertically extending cylindrical opening therein. An intermediate member has a lower cylindrical surface that is received in the base member, and a latching member carried by the base member secures the intermediate member to the base member for relative rotation. The remote end of the intermediate member is pivotally secured to a mounted member, and the remote end of the latter is formed for securement of an item such as a Bimini Top.
Abstract: A covered rail assembly for the bowling ball return of a bowling alley. The rails are made of cylindrical metal and the cover for the rail fits over the engaging surface thereof and is secured thereto by ties, with the ball engaging surface of the cover of concave semi cylindrical shape so as to conform to a ball's surface contacted thereby. The cover is impregnated with oil absorbing particles.
Abstract: A housing containing a sublimable disinfectant with the housing having an adhesive on the rear end for securing the housing to the backing plate behind a door knob. The housing has circumferential slots in the front end thereof so that the sublimed disinfectant vapors may reach the door knob. The housing is split in half so that it can be fit around the door knob shaft behind the knob.
Abstract: A rod carrier including a body portion with plates secured to its opposed end. The plates have openings wherein rods can be disposed and secured. A handle on the body portion is receivable in a mounting member and releaseably secured thereto. The mounting member is securable to a supporting surface.
Abstract: A chock wherein a movable inner member is received for relative vertical movement in a housing with the inner member having a conventional diagonal slot therein for receiving a line. The housing has a central counter bore at the top thereof, and a smaller bore extending therefrom and said inner member is received in the housing for relative axial movement between a depressed inoperative position and an upper operative position. A set screw carried by the housing engages a slot in the inner member for limiting relative axial movement therebetween, while a spring loaded poppet carried by the housing is engageable with a detent near the bottom of the inner member to resiliently hold the inner member vertically stationary relative to the housing when in its upper position.
Abstract: A container for receiving wet exhaust from a deisel engine into an inlet pipe leading into the container. The inlet pipe has a closed bottom and slot in the side thereof intermediate the top and bottom for discharging exhaust into the container. The container has a false bottom spaced above its closed bottom with a fluid access opening in the false bottom. An overflow pipe extends from below the false bottom to a location above the latter and then out the side of the container; this pipe controlling the water level within the container. A pump out pipe is disposed with its inlet end at this water level and removes sheen from the surface of the water to a location outside of the container.
Abstract: A hinge having a housing with a flush mountable flange. A hinge member having pivotally connected upper and lower portions with the lower portion pivotally connected within the housing. A portion of the lower portion is engageable with a slot in the housing for locking the lower portion in an upright position. Upon unlocking the lower portion from the housing the hinge member can be pivoted into a flush relationship with the housing.
Abstract: A foldable ladder suitable for boarding a boat from the bow end thereof having laterally spaced side rails each with upper and lower portions. The upper and lower portion of one side rail are hinged together or pivoting in an outward direction and the upper and lower portions of the other side rails include a releasable connection. A plurality of steps extend between the side rails and are connected at their ends to the adjacent side rail by hinges. A releasable latch mechanism interconnects the side rails for holding the ladder in its unfolded condition.
Abstract: A golf ball teeing device includes a rotatable shaft driven through an approximately 180 degree arc by a forwardly and reversely rotating motor. A pair of flexible and parallel arms are mounted on the shaft with an end projecting therefrom. The ends of the arms when in a first position opposed to the tee, secure a ball therebetween from a ramp supply of balls. At this time a forward and reversing switch causes the motor to reverse thereby moving the arms approximately 180 degrees to place the ball on the tee.
Abstract: A cleat assembly including a housing and a securing members mounted therein for movement between operative and inoperative positions and a spring loaded poppit carried by the securing members and registerable with detents carried by the housing. The detents having openings therein confluent with the surface of the housing.
Abstract: A cover for a mattress usable when the mattress is moved. The cover covers the periphery and flap portions cover a portion of both sides of the mattress. A plurality of peripherally spaced handle straps are riveted to the peripheral portion and the flap portions of the cover and are graspable to move the mattress. In one embodiment, a loop is formed on the inner end of each strap and an elastic cord passes through the loops and its ends secured together to hold the cover on the mattress. In a second embodiment, the cord passes through a hem formed in the inner end of the flap and there are no loops on the straps.
Abstract: A storage area under the raisable rear seat of an extended cab of a pickup truck with the sidewalls of the cab forming the sides of the storage area, the back of the cab forming the back of the area, the bottom of the rear seat forming the top of the area, the floor at the bottom of the cab forming the bottom of the area and a removable panel forms the front wall. The sides of the removable panel being carried by braces which are in turn carried by the side walls and attached thereto by VELCRO.
Abstract: An exhaust processing system for a boat including an exhaust chamber having an exhaust opening in the rear bottom thereof, and a wedge plate is pivotally mounted at the forward end of the opening.
Abstract: An exhaust knockdown spray includes a scoop on the underside of a boat hull which picks up water when the boat is underway, and, through a conduit, directs the water to a spray nozzle at the rear of the hull where the water falls upon any exhaust coming out of the hull. The scoop is positioned ahead of the rudder blade so that the rudder has a steering effect after the steering effect of the scoop.
