Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the thickness of a hot-dip coating. The apparatus comprising a jet wipe nozzle having a gas discharge opening capable of changing the shape of both elongated, opposed edges, of the opening by inserting shims between the nozzle halves and sequentially engaging jacking means to produce a desired gas discharge opening gap profile.
