Abstract: A fluid clutch of the type having an eccentric pump mechanism comprises a valve sleeve which is slidably movable in an annular chamber in the impeller head and an axial fluid passage between the valve sleeve and the cylindrical shaft mounting member connected to the impeller head for providing fluid communication from the annular chamber to without the clutch housing to enable displacement of fluid during movement of the valve sleeve.
