Abstract: An oral care implement has an improved handle for control. The handle may include a gripping region having a grip surface with a plurality of spaced slot openings exposing portions of the base. In one construction, the handle may have an inclined portion and a grip body extending through a base of the handle. The grip body forms opposite finger grips on the inclined portion of the handle. In one construction, the handle may include a grip element which provides shifting of a mass centroid of the handle during use. In another construction, the handle includes a resilient grip body and the handle includes an aperture extend through the handle. Aperture has an inclined surface for engaging a resilient grip body.
Abstract: A toothbrush comprises a handle having an elongated head mounted to the handle. The head has a longitudinally central portion which comprises a plurality of longitudinally aligned segments connected to each other by a joint. Cleaning elements are mounted to the segments and extend outwardly from the outer surface of the head. A shelf-like protrusion extends laterally outwardly from each side of the central section. Further cleaning elements are flexibly mounted to the protrusions. Preferably the shelf-like protrusions are covered with an elastomer. The central section is made of a harder material than the material of the covered protrusions.

Abstract: The soap bar is contained in a package comprised of a first package and a second package. The first package fully surrounds and envelops the soap bar and in a preferred embodiment has a peripheral edge. The second package will contain one or more first packages with an aperture in at least one panel of the second package and a part of the first package protrudes through the second package and is stabilized in the second package. When the first package has a peripheral edge, it will be adjacent to the interior surface of the second package and additionally support the second package.
Abstract: A toothbrush includes a head having multiple cleaning elements. One group of the cleaning elements is mounted on a movable portion of the head and another group may be fixedly mounted on the head. The movable portion of the head is attached by a flexible membrane to the fixed portion of the head so that the membrane is capable of flexing to alter its original orientation during use of the toothbrush and then recover to the original orientation randomly during use.
Abstract: A powered toothbrush is disclosed wherein portion of the toothbrush head is movable about a hinge. The movable portion of the head reciprocates about that hinge through the interaction of a flexible extension of that portion containing a slot. Movable within the slot is an offset end of a rotating drive shaft connected to the power source in the toothbrush. Translation of rotation movement of the drive shaft to reciprocating movement of the hinged head is achievable in a manner that the power source is not stalled or burned out if movement of the toothbrush head is prevented or limited.
