  • Patent number: 7935228
Abstract: A process to reduce emissions discharged from a natural gas processing system wherein the processing system includes a glycol dehydrator for absorbing water, moisture and absorbable hydrocarbons, a reboiler for heating water rich glycol, a still column in communication with the reboiler and a reflux condenser. The process includes the steps of directing vapors and gases from the still column and reflux condenser to a condenser in order to condense vapors to liquid. The gases and liquids from the condenser are directed to a condensate separator in order to separate by gravity. Non-condensible vapors and water from the condensate separator are delivered to a vaporization chamber immersed in the reboiler. Water is re-vaporized into steam and permitted to mix with non-condensible vapors in the vaporization chamber. The steam and non-condensible vapors are inducted into a combustion zone in a firetube in the reboiler. The hydrocarbons in the vapors are combusted in the firetube.

  • Patent number: 7937735
Abstract: The invention relates to the generation of video displays on a display screen from video data which is received as an encoded MPEG stream of data and then decoded and processed to be displayed. In the invention the video display can be generated in a conventional format or at least one use selectable alternative format, known as trick mode stream, such as a fast forward or fast cue display. The method of the invention allows the amount of data to be placed into the buffer memory prior to decoding and display of the data in the alternate format, to be calculated without reference to the MPEG stream information which is unavailable in the trick mode stream of data. The method therefore minimizes delay in the commencement and end of the display of the trick mode stream display format when selected by the user.

  • Patent number: 7930911
Abstract: An apparatus and method for cooking and dispensing starch to a commercial laundry machine comprising a mixing tank for mixing and storing a starch and water solution which is attached to a means for discharging the starch and water solution to a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is a shell and tube heat exchanger, either one-phase or two-phase, used for cooking the starch and water solution to form cooked starch. As the starch and water solution is passed through the tube side of the heat exchanger, it is cooked using heat energy from a heating source contained in the shell side of the heat exchanger. The cooked starch is then dispensed through a manifold valve system to one or more commercial laundry machines. After the cooked starch is dispensed, a solenoid valve opened to flush the apparatus with fresh water.

  • Patent number: 7927289
Abstract: Disclosed is a catheter used to pick a sample of a lesion cell tissue existing in the living body, and more particularly a catheter capable of freely coupling or separating a micro biopsy tool and picking a tissue required for an examination just by inserting and extracting the biopsy tool into and from a lesion region when picking the tissue. The catheter can pick a tissue required to diagnose and treat an examinee with a minimal invasion. Accordingly, it is possible to alleviate the examinee's pain and to prevent a perforation from occurring in the picked region when picking the tissue. In addition, according to the catheter of the invention, since the micro biopsy tool can be easily mounted and separated, the catheter can be semi-permanently used by continuously replacing the biopsy tool only.

  • Patent number: 7926074
Abstract: A broadcast data receiver system is provided and a method of operating the system. The system includes a first broadcast data receiver (BDR) (2) located at a first location, typically in a premises. The BDR (2) receives video, audio and/or auxiliary digital data broadcast from a remote location via cable, satellite or terrestrial means. The BDR processes the data and displays the processed data on a display screen (10) and/or audio data via speakers connected thereto. At least a second broadcast data receiver (8) is provided at least a second location typically in the same premises. One of the first and second BDRs (2, 8) is made functional by a signal received from the other of the first and second BDRs, via a telecommunications line (4) provided in the premises and connecting the first and at least second BDRs together, thereby ensuring that both BDRs are connected before operation of the two BDRs can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7886725
Abstract: A fuel vaporizer for an internal combustion engine having a closed pressure chamber defining a volume, to be heated, and a liquid fuel supply system disposed to emit a liquid fuel spray. The closed pressure chamber may be constructed and arranged relative to the heat-transfer surface to establish between the at least one outlet and the heat-transfer surface a mixing domain in which the fuel spray, as it progresses through the volume from the outlet, is substantially heated and vaporized by mixing with re-circulated, heated fuel vapor that previously has moved over and received heat from the heat transfer surface. The fuel vaporizer may be associated with a vapor outflow passage through which pressurized vapor exits the closed pressure chamber for supply to said at least one combustion region. The heat-transfer surface may be arranged to be heated by engine coolant circulating around the exterior of the closed pressure chamber.
